I also include a link in the show notes to an interview I conducted with her back in 2019, before the dementia and cancer had become overpowering. Honestly though, I think this episode is one of the most interesting ones so far. There's also a sort of guest appearance (in deed) by my buddy Garth, from Australia. Good times.

Episode 1 of Us At Our Worst is titled: "Good and Plenty with a side of Chuckles" Who knew that Dexamethasone could be THIS much FUN? Nobody. And with mom being a spiritual sage, while not eating 5 lbs of candy, life was just getting more interesting by the day. Tune in!

This was a genuinely challenging episode to say out loud. Secondary Lymphedema still haunts my memory of mom. But have no fear, there is still plenty of plucky comic relief, and downright madness to lift your spirits!
