Darlene Hildebrandt loves to help people make better photographs. You probably know her from her frequent appearances on This Week in Photo or from her role as the editor of the
Digital Photography School website. Darlene is also has her own photo education websites, including her main hub at
Digital Photo Mentor.
Digital Photo Mentor has a TON of content to help you improve your photography. Darlene has her own articles and videos plus contributions from other photographers. There are a few premium products on the site, but the majority of the information is free.
Whether you want to improve your Photoshop skills, make better macro shots or anything in between, you can probably find what you’re looking for on Darlene’s site.
Darlene also leads destination photo workshops, and you can find links to them on the DPM site as well. I asked Darlene how she got started leading workshops and how she ended up blending a bit of charity work into her trips to Nicaragua. I love when photographers go out of their way to participate in the communities they visit, instead of simply photographing them from an outsider’s point of view.
