Hispanic Market Power: America’s Business Growth Engine by Isaac Mizrahi
Please visit https://thebookvoice.com/podcasts/1/audiobook/795944 to listen full audiobooks. Title: Hispanic Market Power: America’s Business Growth Engine Author: Isaac Mizrahi Narrator: Andrew Joseph Perez Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 7 hours 39 minutes Release date: November 26, 2024 Genres: Marketing & Advertising Publisher's Summary: The United States Hispanic segment represents the most prominent demographic growth in the country, and a huge and untapped business opportunity for companies willing to move away from preconceived notions and market effectively to Hispanic customers. This book shows you how. Now more than ever, corporations operating in the United States should see the Hispanic population at the core of their existing and future strategies, but many leaders believe Hispanic marketing is the same marketing you run for Anglos but translated into Spanish, or that all Hispanics are undocumented immigrants with no purchasing power, or that using Mariachis in their communications is the way to connect with this diverse segment. It's time for a modern approach, and Isaac Mizrahi, one of the country's leading voices in multicultural marketing, uses his experience as a corporate executive, agency CEO, and industry leader to help businesses grow by leveraging the Hispanic consumer segment to drive sales. Filled with straightforward talk, illustrative case studies, and pragmatic suggestions and recommendations, this book counterbalances academic books on the topic with little connection to reality and other books with a more political standpoint. This is a business book created by a marketer for other marketers and business leaders looking to succeed.

Title: [Spanish] - Una fiesta a medianoche Author: Lucy Foley Narrator: Mamen Jiménez Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 11 hours 8 minutes Release date: October 24, 2024 Genres: Contemporary Women Publisher's Summary: SECRETOS. MENTIRAS.

Title: The Mystics Would Like a Word: Six Women Who Met God and Found a Spirituality for Today Author: Shannon K. Evans Narrator: Shannon K. Evans Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 5 hours 33 minutes Release date: September 10, 2024 Genres: Christianity Publisher's Summary: Discover a rich legacy of audacious women who forged a spirituality that is more inclusive, surprising, and empowering than we ever imagined. “The feminist reading of women mystics I’ve wanted for ages . . . invites us into the hopeful possibility for communal healing that we desperately need right now.”—Sarah Bessey, bestselling author of Field Notes for the Wilderness and Jesus Feminist Is there a Christian spirituality that embraces the entire reality of womanhood? The answer, Shannon K. Evans suggests, is an emphatic yes. There is a spirituality that meets us in every part of our lives, developed by the women who came before us. Six mystics—Teresa of Ávila, Margery Kempe, Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Siena, and Thérèse of Lisieux—revealed a faith big enough to hold the female experiences of sex and desire, the yearning for bodily autonomy, the challenges of motherhood and identity, as well as life with male authority and—sometimes—violence. These women, self-determining, stubborn, and unapologetically themselves, asked questions in their time that are startlingly prescient today, and fought for women’s experiences to be heard, understood, respected, and recognized as holy. In The Mystics Would Like a Word, readers will discover the story of Christian faith and spirituality as told by these extraordinary and wise women, one that speaks directly to today’s unique experiences, and leads to wholeness, healing, and spiritual vitality.

Title: The Coup de Grace Author: Ambrose Bierce Narrator: Eric Meyers Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 0 hours 15 minutes Release date: September 9, 2024 Genres: LGBTQ+ Publisher's Summary: Ambrose Gwinnett Bierce was born on 24th June 1842 at Horse Cave Creek in Meigs County, Ohio. His parents were poor but they introduced him to literature at an early age, instilling in him a deep appreciation of books, the written word and the elegance of language. Growing up in Koscuisko County, Indiana poverty and religion were defining features of his childhood, and he would later describe his parents as “unwashed savages” and fanatically religious, showing him little affection but always quick to punish. He came to resent religion, and his introduction to literature appears to be their only positive effect. At age 15 Bierce left home to become a printer’s devil, mixing ink and fetching type at The Northern Indian, a small Ohio paper. Falsely accused of theft he returned to his farm and spent time sending out work in the hopes of being published. His Uncle Lucius advised he be sent to the Kentucky Military Institute. A year later he was commissioned as an Officer. As the Civil War started Bierce enlisted in the 9th Indiana Infantry Regiment. In April 1862 Bierce fought at the Battle of Shiloh, an experience which, though terrifying, became the source of several short stories. Two years later he sustained a serious head wound and was off duty for several months. He was discharged in early 1865. A later expedition to inspect military outposts across the Great Plains took him all the way to San Francisco. He remained there to become involved with publishing and editing and to marry, Mary Ellen on Christmas Day 1871. They had a child, Day, the following year. In 1872 the family moved to England for 3 years where he wrote for Fun magazine. His son, Leigh, was born, and first book, ‘The Fiend’s Delight’, was published. They returned to San Francisco and to work for a number of papers where he gained admiration for his crime reporting. In 1887 he began a column at the William Randolph Hearst’s San Francisco Examiner. Bierce’s marriage fell apart when he discovered compromising letters to his wife from a secret admirer. The following year, 1889 his son Day committed suicide, depressed by romantic rejection. In 1891 Bierce wrote and published the collection of 26 short stories which included ‘An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge’. Success and further works including poetry followed. Bierce with Hearst’s resources helped uncover a financial plot by a railroad to turn 130 million dollars of loans into a handout. Confronted by the railroad and asked to name his price Bierce answered “my price is $130 million dollars. If, when you are ready to pay, I happen to be out of town, you may hand it over to my friend, the Treasurer of the United States”. He now began his first foray as a fabulist, publishing ‘Fantastic Fables’ in 1899. But tragedy again struck two years later when his second son Leigh died of pneumonia relating to his alcoholism. He continued to write short stories and poetry and also published ‘The Devil’s Dictionary’. At the age of 71, in 1913 Bierce departed from Washington, D.C., for a tour of the battlefields where he had fought during the civil war. At the city of Chihuahua he wrote his last known communication, a letter to a friend. It’s closing words were “as to me, I leave here tomorrow for an unknown destination,” Ambrose Bierce then vanished without trace.

Rise Above: My 500 Days of Faith, Forgiveness, and Fighting Back by Steve Zakuani

Title: Rise Above: My 500 Days of Faith, Forgiveness, and Fighting Back Author: Steve Zakuani Narrator: Steve Zakuani Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 6 hours 42 minutes Release date: September 3, 2024 Genres: History & Culture Publisher's Summary: Loss. Defeat. Hardship. Suffering. Pain. They're at the center of the experience of being human. And yet, these experiences can cripple-unless they result in strength. When a sudden accident resulted in multiple fractures to his leg and threatened to take him out of soccer permanently, Steve Zakuani faced his biggest challenge yet. The road to his soccer success hadn't merely involved athletic challenges; in the years leading up to his position with the Seattle Sounders, Zakuani had overcome an upbringing in one of London's roughest neighborhoods, battled personal apathy, and learned to not only walk but run after an accident that left doctors without hope for his future in soccer. He found renewed purpose through the influence of a mentor and, through that mentor, found his purpose in God's call on his life. Yet his early challenges began to look small after Zakuani suffered another injury that broke his leg-and, this time, threatened his career. That injury-and the 500 days of recovery before he returned to the field-forced him to grapple with who he was when his identity in soccer and his personal goals were taken out of his hands. This book, drawn from journals written during his recovery, gives readers a raw, honest look into Zakuanis story-and coach readers how to face tragedy with a positive mindset, how to set goals that are bigger than their adversity, how to remain hopeful in their darkest moments, and how to help others in their life overcome their own adversities. Includes a study guide to aid in personal reflection or group discussion
