Dale gets a confession from Leland for the murder of Jacques Renault, and puts him up for trial. Donna investigates Harold’s having Laura’s diary, is mostly just sad, but it’s weird that Harold is so insistent on NOT giving it to the cops.
Meanwhile, the elusive travel writer M.T. Wentz is visiting the town, the show gears up to get really racist with Josie’s continuing plotline and the introduction of Yellowface Guy, Hank is up to no good and gets beat up, and Andy is jorking it... and by it, well, let’s just say…. heh heh… his peanits.

Garland Briggs has a special message for Dale – from space! Leo’s in a coma – for now – and Bobby sees dollar signs in 1990s America’s famously lavish disability aid program. And to cap things off, Donna and Maddy compete for James’ affection in an insane song, but are interrupted by a profoundly disturbing vision of BOB.
Twin Peaks S2E1: May The Giant Be With You
Dale’s been shot! What a cliffhanger! It’s September 1990, and I’ve been itching for some narrative resolution all summer! But David Lynch says no no no – instead, you get the slowest glass of warm milk in the world, and some Giant Prophecies! After (kinda) recovering, Coop gets brought up to speed on the crazy events of the finale and learns the following clues:Laura knew some weird poetryJacoby had her necklaceLeo has an alibiWhoever killed Jacques Renault smelled like engine oiland Jacques’ body was in a… smiling bag‼️He focuses the case on finding the “third man” present at Laura’s murder. Also, Albert’s back, and he’s still an asshole.
Meanwhile, Audrey barely fends off her father at One-Eyed Jack’s with the help of a Venetian mask, but is locked in her room for it, as her subplot makes the official tone switch from saucily playful to ominously dire. Leland’s hair turns white overnight, and he’s joined a barbershop quartet about it – and by the way, Maddy had a weird rug dream? It really freaks her out. She gets in an “act like Laura” contest with Donna about it. Other stuff: We learn about Ed and Nadine’s backstory. Bobby has a surprisingly touching moment with his father. Josie’s in Seattle… shopping? But a mysterious man wants to talk to her. The hospital food will kill ya. And last but not least, coma-bound Ronnette Pulaski has a vision/flashback of Laura’s murder, in the most genuinely terrifying sequence on the show to date.

Season 1 goes out with a bang, with as much capital-p Plot as almost the rest of the season combined. Jacoby gets the shit beaten out of him! Coop catches weaselly Jacques Renault, with the help of Andy’s surprisingly straight shooting – but then Leland kills him! Andy’s gunplay gets him a conversation with Lucy, and she’s pregnant! Leo burns the mill down, with Shelly and Catherine in it! Then he gets shot – again! James gets grilled by the cops after listening to Laura’s tape with Maddy and Donna! Catherine and Pete kinda make up! Hank is a piece of shit to Josie, but at least he shot Leo! Nadine tries to kill herself! Audrey may have bit off more than she can chew with her “do sex work at the high concept brothel her dad secretly owns” plan! And to wrap things up, somebody shoots coop!!!! WHAT AN EPISODE!!!!

Dale Cooper becomes the world’s first cop to not try to sleep with a high schooler. Audrey pursues her investigation, following the trail from the Horne store perfume desk to One-Eyed Jack’s. Donna, James, and Maddy disguise Maddy as Laura to lure out Dr. Jacoby, but they’re being followed by Bobby, who’s being followed by... someone?
The investigation continues apace as Sarah Palmer's vision, a bust on Jacques Renault’s apartment, and bevy of birds answer some questions and raise even more.
After last week’s crazy cliffhanger, Cooper announces almost directly to the camera that his dream contains clues that will solve everything, but also that he forgot the most important part.
In this introductory episode, Lily and Sadie talk about growing up together in Montreal, their relationships to the works of David Lynch, and what to expect from this show.
