The Most Abused & Misused Verses in The Bible (Pt. 5)

On this episode, we conclude our first series with a look at JOHN 3:16, arguably the most famous verse in all the Bible. While using Dr. McMahon's notes on the topic, I argue that this verse addresses the benefit of Christ to those believing, over against the commonly misapplied understanding, which is that this verse is speaking of personal ability to believe. Though I do not doubt the free exercise of personal belief as a necessity of the Gospel call, I do contend that this verse is not presenting such an imperative. Essentially, I am saying that this verse is saying that God sent His Son so that those believing ones (the "whosoever"), will not perish, but have everlasting life. Join now, and listen as we thoroughly debunk a misconception built on a century long tradition.
