We Haz Much Excite: Peacmaker

This one was one i think we both were very surprised to love so much!

John Cena is an absolute treasure in this show; it's a continuation of DC's Suicide Squad with some returning players and some fresh meat.

This comedy is so adult and in the best ways, very possibly the best thing to come from DC in a long time. From the opening sequences to the spectacular Hair Band soundtrack, this show has everything we want in a series, the fact that it is also a anti/super hero story just makes it bop that much harder.

Lighthearted: She-Hulk

This week, we dive into Marvel’s smash-hit courtroom comedy She-Hulk: Attorney at Law! Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) isn’t your average lawyer—she’s navigating her career, her dating life, and her unexpected transformation into a 6’7” green superhero. We’ll break down how the show blends classic Marvel action with sharp sitcom humor, from fourth-wall-breaking gags to cameos by familiar MCU heavyweights like Bruce Banner, Wong, and Daredevil.

We’ll also explore the series’ fresh take on superhero law, its feminist undercurrent, and how it leans into meta-commentary about toxic fandom and Marvel tropes. Expect behind-the-scenes trivia, character deep dives, and plenty of laughs as we discuss how She-Hulk redefined what a Marvel show could be—more sitcom than saga, more sass than smash.

Whether you loved the cameos, the courtroom chaos, or the risk-taking finale, this episode is your guide to why She-Hulk is one of the MCU’s boldest and most talked-about experiments.

Deep Dive: Legion Season 2

MORAL AMBIGUITY!! That seems to be the only thing that is real in season 2 of Legion.

Picking up a year later after David's "disappearance" the season plunges us even deeper into the Summerland vs Division 3 battle.

We break down the tippy narrative structure from the maze like mental world with Jon Hamm.

We question literally everything and everyone's motives.

We get Syd's sad backstory and her struggle for autonomy.

It's a morally bankrupt shit show and we are HERE. FOR. IT.

Reading is FUNdamental: Interview with a Vampire

#2 in our Interview with a Vampire block is the original book by Anne Rice, published in the 1970's.

This og Southern Gothic tale started it all for the "Vampires have feelings too" story line. Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles paved the way for the new era of Vampire story telling that is still prevalent today.

Sad, sexy, brooding, emotional Louis and cocky, snobby and dangerous Lestat, a match made in Hell! Listen as Trashmouth who is a first time read tells us what she thinks about this book.

Very few spoilers!

We Haz Much Excite: Interview with a Vampire

Continuing with Vampire season is our We Haz Much Excite episode and the beginning of our Interview with a Vampire unHoly Trinity; the series on AMC.

There will be a lot of spoilers in this episode so if you have not watched this show yet, you're gonna want to do that first.

This is a twist on the Anne Rice novel that we didn't want to end and thankfully for us and you...it's coming back with season 3 sometime in the next several months.

We really cannot recommend this show enough! The characters even more compelling than before which is due to the superb writing and actors.

Next week on our second Interview episode we talk about the book in our Reading is Fundamental episode.

Stay Tuned!

One and Done: Midnight Mass

Vampire season continues with our One and Done episode (a show that only had 1 season or a miniseries) Midnight Mass-created and directed by the amazing Mike Flanagan. This twist on a vampire story has everything we love about the genre and more.

This episode is doubly cool because we had an amazing guest with us Janecka Olen from Scream Queen podcast. She joins us from across the country to talk with us about this epic show. Check out her horror movie podcast anywhere you get podcasts.

Next week we dive in fang first to ALL THINGS INTERVIEW! First the series for our We Haz Much Excite, then the book for our Reading is Fundamental episode and then the movie with The Cinemaniacs!

Gone Too Soon: Penny Dreadful

We are back with our Gone Too Soon episode the dark and twisted Penny Dreadful. We know, we know it's not technically a Vampire centered show, but there is vampires and the most famous Vampire makes an appearance. We just really wanted to cover this hauntingly beautiful story and what better time to talk about it than during our Vampire season.

Penny Dreadful takes place in Victorian Era London which is arguably one of the best London eras to date--aside from all dirty air and tuberculosis.

Vanessa Ives the main character is fighting for her soul and her life with the help of some recognizable literary characters and a badass ensemble cast.

We talk about why this show has a firm spot in our Gone Too Soon category and what we think SHOULD have happened.

Join us next week when we talk about our One and Done episode Midnight Mass with special guest Janeka from the Scream Queen podcast. Make sure you check out her show and our episode with her on Thursday, March 27th where we talk about Jeepers Creepers.

What We Do in the Shadows: The Movie

Join us and our podcast flatmates The Cinemaniacs as we talk about the one that started it all; What We Do in the Shadows The Movie. The origins of our one of our favorite shows in it's earliest forms.

This charming and quirky mockumentary style movie takes place in Wellington, New Zealand where a camera crew are granted access to film the lives of 4 vampires living in a house together. They capture the ins and outs of everyday life for these ancient vampires trying to keep up in the world.

Great characters, the wit is razor sharp with this one and we tell you allllllll about it.

Stay tuned next week when we are doing our Gone Too Soon episode with Penny Dreadful.

Lighthearted: What We Do in the Shadows (TV SHOW)

This is a must watch comedy show!

It's got that hilarious mockumentary style but with Vampires and other supernatural beings, adapted into a show a few years after the movie came out in 2014.

This show is perfectly cast and the characters are EVERYTHING! 4 vampires-3 regular and an energy vampire, all living in a house together with a human familiar in Staten Island.

Hijinks ensue while they try to adapt to the ever changing technology of the human world.

ENDLESSLY memeable and quotable!

Do yourself a favor if you haven't already and RUN to Hulu to watch it.

We have a very special guest this episode; family friend and fellow podcaster Johnny from Who's Talking Shhh with Johnny and Anthony watch them on YouTube.

We discuss the series finale synopsis, new cast, and trivia as usual but we also discuss the cultural relevance of True Blood at it's time. We do a book to tv show comparison SPOILERS.

We do a fun True Blood Q/A with our guest and then finish out the episode with our USUAL FMK!

Deep Dive: True Blood; Season 6

Continuing on our Deep Dive with season 6; Bilith has fully embraced their inner God(dess) and has become obsessed with synthesizing faerie blood, enlisting Jessica in this endeavor.

Sookie finds herself in yet another toxic relationship with who else but her betrothed, a sunwalking, blood sucking, faerie/vampire hybrid.

Jason doesn't know whose side he's on, Sam is on the run with Emma and Lafayette is playing nanny. Terry has literally checked out and it makes Arlene crash out.

Eric, his children and his...grandchild are the only ones even trying to get sh!t done, per usual. While vampires are being captured, thrown in internment camps, and being experimented on by weird, rich, white people. Too real.

Find out if we really hated it as much as we said we were going to.

Deep Dive: True Blood; Season 5

Well, here we go into the decent of the True Blood tv series.

Though this season may not be the worst of the worst seasons in the series, it is DEFINITELY up there.

So, I hope y'all are buckled up and ready for these hot takes, because Season 5 of True Blood is a whole mess of fangs, freaks, and vampire politics gone off the rails. We got the Vampire Authority acting like a supernatural cult, Lilith’s bloody fever dreams turning your fave vamps into religious nutcases, and Bill Compton deciding to go full Billith (yes, Bill + Lilith = Billith... we’re still not over it).

Meanwhile, Eric’s out here trying to keep it together, Tara’s dealing with her new undead life, and Sookie’s still stuck in the middle of everyone’s drama. Also, shoutout to Russell Edgington—because when he’s on screen, it’s always unhinged excellence.

We’ll break down the wildest twists, the cringiest moments (ahem, fairy nightclub), and why this season made us question every vampire hierarchy decision ever.
