Over the years I’ve observed a pattern after working with hundreds of tourism operators.
Almost every business owner I’ve worked with makes the same 3 assumptions about where to focus their marketing efforts, and all three are typically a huge suck on their resources while yielding little to no results.
In this episode I’ll share the 3 assumptions and then share the 3 things operators should focus on instead which cost virtually nothing, but have a far greater impact on your ability to get bookings.
As we move further away from Covid and the inflation it caused, economies are shifting.
The market that was hungry to travel in 2022/23 has spent most of their surplus cash and is now facing the reality that everything is 43% more expensive than it was in 2019 (according to global financial data).
This means that the middle class guests you were attracting are having to tighten their belts and cut some of the ‘extras.’ That’s bad news for you.
It means that YOUR costs are up by 40+ % AND it’s much harder to get bookings. No wonder you’re feeling the pressure right now.
In order to stay in business, you may need to shift the type of guests you were catering to. You’ll need to level up to a demographic with more disposable income.
If that’s where you’re at, in this episode I’ll share a trick that I’m using to attract this new audience.
