There are electricians that just say that to every customer, and to be honest - how would the customer know its not true?
It all comes down to knowing your stuff and evaluating the install to see what you recommend along with what needs to be done.
A customer will take the electricians word for it. Then there will be some who assume its been there for 50 years and noting is wrong with it.
Things change, regulations change and electricians need to change too for their insurance to be valid.
The podcast goes into detail on why consumer unit will need upgrading along with what you can actually get away with - you will be surprised.
The FREE download is for you to give to your customers to help explain why you have recommended a fuse board upgrade. - you are free to do whatever you like with it.

if you find it hard to get new customers to grow your business, just go out and make new friends.
But make friends with who? Good question.
There are specific people I have become friends over the years that I have noticed that have helped me get plenty of work over the years.
Thinking about it, it was pretty interesting to hear how so many customers got my details. There are some people who haven't recommended me ever. I'm not going to mention them - they might be listening 😂.
The more people you have talking about you and your work, the calls just come in continually.
Its a natural progression for your business to grow.
When listening to the podcast, keep in mind the types of people who have helped my business grow and when you work for them - make sure to make a good impression.
They are out there and some of the things they do are UNBELIABLE!
Trades people who do these things cant be serious about building a profitable business.
It goes without saying DO NOT copy some of the things mentioned in the podcast, but learn from them to make your customers feel more comfortable.
Lets be honest, without a good network of customers, any tradesman is never going to have continuous work.
That's what keep us self employed tradesmen busy - do one good job and it can spiral into 10 more in the future.
