On this episode I talk about how so many people have no idea how a credit card is meant to work when buying something.
I also spend some time talking about the idea of Spring Break and how it just feels a little strange to me.
Today I discuss why this episode was "late" and how my desire to make these episodes has been taking a little bit of a hit.
Then I go on to talk about something that I am excited about, the district wide concert that I am headed to direct almost right after this episode is posted.
Let me rant about the statistics about reading in 2025 and reflect on my reading journey over the years.
As is tradition around here we start the year with a conversation with my older son Edward.
We talk about some things, but we mostly try to break through his tween sarcasm and try to get to a real answer every now and then.
Enjoy.
Today we talk about the many different experiences I have had in performing for Holiday, mostly Christmas, concerts.
I also feature a couple of recordings of some holiday songs.
On this episode we find out that I have been too busy to get an episode out for September 2024, sorry about that.
We also talk about minor league baseball, something that I think might just be one of the most under-rated entertainment opportunities in the small towns of the United States.
We finish up with a rant about how Halloween needs to stay in October and not be allowed to take over the last couple weeks of September as well.
All that and more on this episode of Tom Sed What?
Today we talk about the Emergency Room and how it has become an essential part of life for many people in the United States.
We then dive into some stories about my personal experiences with the Emergency Room and how those events have inspired this particular episode.

My take on the Cicadas and how they are making a splash this summer.
Have you ever just gone to work when you were not feeling 100%?
Well you have participated in something called Presenteeism and apparently it is just as bad if not worse than just calling in sick for the day.
All that and more on this episode.
A lot has changed since I was a teenager. Especially how we experience music.
We used to have physical media and now everything is streamed.
We also have outside forces that change what people are looking for in music and that in turn makes the music both more accessible and more apt to change.
Let's talk all about it on this episode.
We talk about how we don't have enough teachers in the United States.
We also look into my adventures in substitute teaching.
Today we talk about two things, one for the beginning of the year and one for the beginning of the school year.
Once again we sit down with my son Edward and talk about the past year and the upcoming one.
What are some of the things you are looking forward to in the upcoming year?
This episode looks at a couple of Christmas songs that I grew up with. I dive into the history of them and perform each.

My son has been running for the Cross-Country team at his local Middle School.
This has been super exciting for me and for my son, but when is trying to support my son in his efforts to much and crossing a line?
Also we talk to my son himself about his efforts and how he feels about the season so far.
What are your experiences with youth sports? How do you feel about parents and the way they interact with their children in sports?
We all have that thing we do all our lives, or have done all our lives. For me that is singing, and today we are going to focus on my singing with groups, or choirs.
I have been in a variety of choirs throughout my musical career. Some I have been singing, and some I have been the director.
Today you learn about my experience as both on this episode.
Well this summer has been a whirlwind for me as I changed the school district that I teach in.
I also moved from middle school to elementary school, but that is all covered in the episode.
I hope you enjoy.
The middle of June and beginning of July is a time full of patriotic holidays in the United States.

A quick life update episode.
May is always a time of year that puts me in the mood to remember things.

Also I perform "We Danced" by Brad Paisley and talk about its significance for the two of us.
