E115: Embody Confidence: How to Trust Yourself and Your Nervous System in Business and Life

Welcome to this week's episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul show, where I share a personal reflection on what it truly means to honour our own rhythm, to slow down when our system says enough, and to build confidence and momentum from a grounded, embodied place. I share with you how I’ve learned to recognise the early signs of depletion - with loss of creativity, effortful thinking, and disconnection from a sense of sacredness in my work. I explore what embodied confidence really means, why practice is everything, and how understanding our nervous system can completely change the way we grow, heal, and lead our lives and businesses.

This episode is my invitation to you to pause and remember that you are the CEO of your life and work, and to build your confidence not through hustling or pushing harder, but through trust, wisdom that comes from your lived experience, and alignment with your own rhythm.

In this episode I invite you to:

  • Honour your natural rhythm - learn to listen to early signs of depletion and allow yourself rest without guilt.

  • Redefine confidence - from a trauma-informed somatic perspective, as embodied self-trust and resilience built through lived experience.

  • Embrace the power of practice - why consistency, showing up imperfectly, and time are essential for mastery and sustainability.

  • Learn nervous system awareness in growth - how the amygdala and perceived threats influence resistance, fear, and the process of change.

  • Resist the “signs from the universe” narrative - understand that obstacles and resistance are natural parts of growth, not messages of failure.

  • Run a business in alignment with your body and values - create flexible structures, compassionate self-leadership, and a rhythm that truly works for you

This episode is especially for sensitive, conscientious women practitioners, coaches, and space holders who are wearing all the 'hats' in their work and navigating visibility, confidence, and growth in business - and want to do it in a way that feels deeply embodied, sustainable, and aligned with their nervous system and soul.
