Laughter can be a balm for the soul. What makes comedy happen and why is it so wondrous sometimes? In this episode Mary-L. explores worlds in which giggles happen. She gets curious about why and tells a story or two or three within little bloopers and perfect imperfections.
Here we delve into cosmic consciousness and the ways humans differentiate themselves, but also the ways humans intertwine with one another to think without analysis or awareness around consequences. The glee of individuating comes up in the form of Jonathan Livingston Seagull's joy at being a wave within the ocean of heaven on earth. Various species besides human may also be viewed in this sense as seen in the collective nouns given to animal groupings such as a "shrewdness of apes". A call to action to urge your state representatives in the US to sponsor HR-40 also rises. The episode concludes with a micro meditation to affirm and practice our ability to think for ourselves in this wide world. How do we find ourselves within the larger whole? How do we handle fear and doubt around being cast out? How do we celebrate our great ability to be one with all and also ourselves with self-care, self-compassion and self-acceptance? #groupthink, #purusha, #prakriti, #HR-40, #shadow, #individuation, #collective

In this episode I confess my love of astrology and why I find it important to connect to the skies above and our inner worlds. I also delve into a practice to bring in the light borrowed from astrologer, Pam Gregory. I expound a li'l bit on what's happening astrologically and energetically in our wonderful multiverse. I close with a shout out to HR-40, a bill that needs our support to commission a study on African American reparations in the US. Thanks for listening and please feel free to spread the word about these words. Take good care.
This episode muses on what seeing the world as sacred can be and practices that nurture a sacred view of our world. Mary rambles into childhood memories of playing in the woods of North America and forest bathing as a grown up. She also speaks of traveling to cultures with an abundance of sacred beliefs, Greece and India, and the value of praise. Simple practices, concepts and ideas rise from her words too. Breathe, dance a little while you listen and enjoy.

The Serenity prayer, "grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference," inspires this episode. I recorded when the moon and the sun were in water signs, Cancer and Pisces respectively. All is based on healing flow, the patience that precedes tranquility and the joy that follows. The Rune Oracles, as interpreted by Ralph H. Blum and Susan Loughan, provide knowledge and may act like a sage counsel, a compass bearing for the day and beyond. The specific teachings of the Rune Wunjo, looks like a "P" in the Rune alphabet, shed light and nudge us closer to the Serenity prayer's inner jewel of grace.
In experiencing death we sometimes must carry on without closure. This may also arise in the coping with difficult relationships whether they are still active on earth or whether the relationship has ended. We sometimes find a way to reset our mindset, to go on with the living. In this myth Orpheus must do just that ~ transfer tragedy into capability ~ after twice losing the love of his life, Eurydice. While Orpheus could drown in his tears as some of the love ballads tell, instead he chooses to keep singing, keep strumming his lyre as a way of handling life without his love. This choice mythically bestows upon him the honor of being the creator of the love song, the love poem, the love letter. And so he finds his resolution and also his growing edge in the midst, and also in the aftermath of challenge.
This mini episode elaborates on the effect of trauma and one way to heal trauma and alleviate overload.
