For centuries, the saying "the mills of justice grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine" has been repeated as a truism, suggesting that the legal system's deliberate pace results in thorough and just outcomes.
However, in today's rapidly evolving world, this adage may not hold as much weight as it once did. The idea that slow justice is equivalent to precise justice fails to consider the negative consequences of prolonged legal processes, which can actually undermine the pursuit of justice rather than enhance it.
Join Henry Terry as he discusses that justice doesn't have to be slow to be precise."

llegal mining, also known as "galamsey" in Ghana, is a major issue that has been affecting the country for many years. Galamsey operations involve the use of heavy machinery and chemicals to extract gold from the earth, often in a manner that is harmful to the environment and human health.
The negative impacts of galamsey include water pollution, deforestation, land degradation, and loss of biodiversity. The polluted water from galamsey activities can harm aquatic life, making it difficult for communities to access clean water for drinking and domestic use.
In response to the galamsey issue, the Ghanaian government established the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM) in 2017, which was chaired by Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng. The committee was tasked with developing strategies and implementing measures to curb illegal mining activities and their negative impacts.
In this episode, I will be discussing my thoughts on how the Government of Ghana has responded to the report on illegal mining by Professor Boateng.
In this episode, Henry discusses his personal struggle with asking for help and how he eventually overcame it. The episode highlights the benefits of seeking assistance early on, from the appropriate individuals, and for the appropriate reasons.

Visiting Ghana's slave castles can be a deeply emotional and thought-provoking experience. These castles were used as a hub for the transatlantic slave trade, where countless Africans were captured, imprisoned, and shipped to the Americas to be sold into slavery. Today, the castles serve as a poignant reminder of the atrocities committed during the slave trade era and the lasting impact it had on African societies.
For many visitors, the experience of walking through the cramped, dark dungeons where slaves were kept in squalid conditions can be overwhelming. It is a stark reminder of the brutal reality of the slave trade and the inhumane treatment of enslaved Africans. The experience can also evoke feelings of anger, sadness, and grief as visitors come face to face with the harsh realities of the past.
Anthony Briscoe traveled from the United States to Ghana for a historic visit to the ancient slave castles and share his thoughts in this podcast.
