Suzanne (Suzy) Linett was born into a Jewish family and attended local synagogues in five different states as her family moved. After college graduation, she worked as an occupational therapist providing services for children with special needs for 45 years.
Through evangelical friends, Suzy accepted Yeshua as her Messiah and Lord in 1981. She pursued her Bible education in the local church and through online studies. She became a member of a Messianic Jewish Synagogue in 1994 and was involved in leadership for several years. She obtained her ministerial license through the Foursquare Church denomination in 2012 and ordination in 2014.
Currently, she serves on church staff as a teaching pastor. She is the founder of Devar Shalom- Word of Peace Ministries, which is designed to bring Jewish and Gentile believers together in understanding of the whole Word of God.
Ms. Linett is the author of several books, and serves as a freelance journalist for the Messianic Times. She is a speaker in churches and Messianic Synagogues and hosts a weekly internet television show on the Holy Spirit Broadcasting Network.
This week my guest is Robbie Saal. Robbie has been a part of Messianic Judaism since 1987. She has been the rabbitzen of Shuvah Yisrael in Connecticut since she and her husband, Rabbi Paul Saal, planted the congregation in the mid 90s. They have been married for 40 years and have 4 daughters, and 5 grandchildren. Robbie has worked her entire adult career as a teacher, and has been a kindergarten teacher for the past 22 years.

Rabbi Eric Tokajer was raised in a traditional Jewish home. After his bar mitzvah, he began to study the Hebrew Scriptures more closely which brought many questions to his mind. While searching the Hebrew Scriptures, Rabbi Eric found belief in Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel which brought answers to all of the questions he had. He has served as a Rabbi in the Mobile, Alabama area and now in Pensacola, Florida. He also helped to establish five synagogues across the Gulf Coast. Rabbi Eric has been married for 36 years to his wife Pammy and they have two children David (and his wife Danielle with two children, Elyana and Natanel) and Andrew (and his wife Melissa). Both sons are married to the daughters of Rabbi Paul and Rebbetzin Sally Collins of Mobile, Alabama. He is also the author of 11 books and working on more.
I have never met Rabbi Eric Tokajer - in person. When I was in college, In the late 1990s, while researching Messianic Judaism, I stumbled on some Messianic Jewish forums. I first got to know the handle “emetman” and “raveric”. We connected, and were very much on the same page with theology. I adopted the handle “batemet”. Twenty or so years later, despite intentions to meet up, we have never met in person, although we have tried, and people we know have met each other.

David Kasdan is a bassist and backup vocalist for Messianic bands The Trees Will Know and The Pear Republic. He runs the podcast Messianic Media, a discussion of Messianic, Christian and secular artistic works. He also works as a wedding and event videographer.
I first got to know David Kasden when he interviewed me for his podcast, Messianic Media. At that point, 5 years ago, I volunteered with the UMJC as the editor of the Achot(sisterhood) newsletter. David grew up as a part of a messianic synagogue; his father, Barney Kasdan, is a Messianic rabbi and author. We talk a little about what it is like to be a Messianic Jew when there's not a congregation nearby. We recorded this episode in August 2020.

I decided for my first interview to invite Ethel Chadwick to the show. I've been a fan of her radio show turned podcast for a long time. She's a pro at what she does, and I figured that if I started by interviewing people who interview others, then I could ask for them to record as a backup. I'm glad she did because my system failed the day of our interview. I'm so honored she said yes to our conversation. Thank you Ethel for being my first interview.
