This week we have a discussion on Tom Petty. During this podcast we discuss the many influences on Tom Petty. We run through his albums with a focus on his late 1980's and early 1990's albums. We talk about how he churned out huge rock anthems and talk about his collaboration with Jeff Lynn and the Traveling Wilburys, with Thorsten's very controversial comment about Roy Orbison which is guaranteed to upset John's father!!

This week we have a discussion on The Cure. During this podcast we discuss the music scene that The Cure's came from and the music scene in which they were hugely influential in creating. We run through their albums with a focus on their early 80's albums Seventeen Seconds, Faith & Pornography. We talk about how the band grew and their music became darker through these three pivotal albums. We also speak about their masterpiece Disintegration. Thorsten also talks about his favourite Cure song 'The Kiss' from the Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me album, which was no surprise to John :-)

A discussion about Thorsten's favourite band Rush. In this episode we will talk about much of Rush's recordings and how they were the soundtrack to Thorsten life.
