The People Who Learned How to Beat the Casino

In this episode, I'll talk about an interesting documentary called, "Holy Rollers". In this documentary, a group of Christians learned some tricks to win a lot of money in the casinos. For the grammar topic, we'll discuss verbs that need a gerund or an infinitive after them. Then I'll give you a quiz.

Learn to tell stories in English by watching movies! Master the past tenses (past simple, past perfect, and past continuous).

Hello, my wonderful English learners! Is it hard for you to tell a story in the past? One of the ways you will be judged on your fluency during these speaking tests for the IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, and FCE is in your range of verb tenses.  We will practice using the tenses of the past today using the famous movies:  The Titanic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
