The duo return from the void to try and record a new episode of These Hot Idiots!
In the least accessible episode of These Hot Idiots ever recorded, Ashe and Mega decide that they need to suffer for other peoples enjoyment and take part in watching the adaptation of the first book of Veronica Roth's Divergent book series, and question their sanity almost the entire time in an almost two and a half hour review and discussion about freedom, emotion, choice, and poor worldbuilding, so you better buckle up, or your five dads are going to be disappointed.

You know, only in hindsight do I realize that they named this episode because the teen spirits mentioned consist of the ghosts of both Anna and Vicki, but it makes it weird, because there is two of them and then it would make more grammatical sense if the episode was titled 'Smells like Teen Spirits' in order to land the pun they were going for. But instead, Ashe just sat there, wondering when there was going to be a nirvana, Kurt Cobain, or even a Dave Grohl reference and never got one.
This also kind of implies that the teen spirits in question are capable of being smelled, something which does not happen this episode and thus kind of being a big reach to name the episode that in my opinion.
Anyway this episode is about country music dynamo, Toby Keith .

RENESME ISN'T EVEN A REAL NAME
In this existential nightmare of an episode, Ashe and Mega take their seasonal break to watch the 4th movie of the twilight saga. It doesn't go well.
Ashe and Mega review the finale of The Vampire Diaries' second season. Things that seemed like season cliffhangers kind of get resolved, sorta. Damon gets progressively sweatier throughout the episode, Jeremy gets shot with a gun, Bonnies ghost friends get real sassy, and Alaric drinks his sorrows away.
In the kinda finale of season 2, it's a lot of talking, a lot of drama, a lot of fighting, a lot of death, and a surprising amount of lipgloss. Somebody dressed Jeremy in a suit, Damon is getting sick from the werewolf disease, and Klaus visits a Walgreens.
In this mostly plot episode of the vampire diaries, Ashe and Mega review the episode in a pretty straight forward way. The tangent count is low on this episode, but I'm glad we still just got something out.
Sorry for the long wait, life and heat waves caused issues with equipment, but we're back for the debut of the new villain of the show, Klaus! We also learn stuff about Elijah too I guess, and Damon is being a salty biscuit.
In this unhinged episode of These Hot Idiots, we learn about the 60's decade dance, the genre of 'my girlfriend died' music, Ashe and Mega apparently argue over... the CIA assassinating a member of the cast, John F Kennedy, AT&T's Mi Fi, and the brutal crushing of merit in the pro-corporate system of content creation.

What's with this show and people being lit on fire? Whats with this podcast and showing people being on fire as the thumbnail? Why is the planet on fire? Ashe melts while he and Mega talk about the returning, and really bored sounding Isobel as she tries to get her daughter Elena on board with her plan.

In this episode, Ashe hurt his neck, Damon also gets his neck hurt, with pencils. Bonnie and Caroline kidnap a person, and Matt drowns his sorrows in ketchup shots.
