Keala Settle

In this episode, Tim & Nathan chat to stage and screen star Keala Settle. After a string of critically acclaimed credits on Broadway, she was catapulted into the international limelight when she starred alongside Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman.

She also features in the big screen adaptation of Wicked, out in cinemas later this month, but she’s currently starring in new musical Fly More Than You Fall at Southwark Playhouse Elephant.

We sat down with the Keala during rehearsals to discuss coping with grief, which is a central theme in the piece; how her mother was partly responsible for her Broadway success; and why she loves her lengthy commute to work!

Jac Yarrow & Zizi Strallen

In this episode, Nathan chats to Jac Yarrow, who, fresh out of college, played the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium; and Zizzi Strallen, whose many stage credits include playing Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre, Fran in Strictly Ballroom and most recently Marie Antoinette in Cake.

Together, they’re about to appear in a star studded concert version of Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin, alongside the London Musical Theatre Orchestra and a 50 strong choir!

Nathan sat down with the pair to find out how rehearsals are going, discuss why they’re in awe of Alex Newell, and find out why the the aspirations of Pippin were very similar to that of original choreographer Bob Fosse.

In this episode, Nathan chats to David Ricardo-Peace & Ellis Rae. They currently star in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the epic stage production that picks up 19 years after the last book in JK Rowling’s phenomenal franchise to find out what happened after the Deathly Hallows!

Nathan sat down with David and Ellis to find out why they think the wizarding world has captured the imagination of millions, how they bring the magic to life on stage, and why, despite the spectacular sets, costumes, and illusions, its the compelling story of the relationship between father and son that moves audiences the most.

Joanna Woodward

In this episode, Nathan chats to Joanna Woodward. She’s currently playing the title role in The Time Traveller’s Wife - a new musical based on Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 debut novel about a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably, and his wife who is left to cope with his frequent absences.

Nathan sat down with Joanna to discuss why the project has been a marathon not a sprint, the metaphor that means she’s always connected to co-star David Hunter, and how she juggles being a West End leading lady and a full-time mum!
