Today’s episode is going to be very interesting because we are talking about different types of theatre stages that exist. There are quite a few ways to present a stage play and I think a lot of people don’t realize that. The Theatre industry is a very creative bunch and have comes up with some brilliant ways to watch theatre and present a play.

I talk about my 3 most embarrassing stage moments!! Gahhhh! I talk about the time I had to pee in my costume, started laughing on stage during a school play, and missing my cue. But the show must go on right?! Thank you to actor Paul Vato for this episode idea! 💡

Everyone in Theatre world is in mourning this week as Stephen Sondheim passed away at age 91 on November 26th, 2021. Sondheim wrote some of your favorite showtunes for some of your favorite musicals such as Into the Woods, West Side Story, Gypsy, Company, and Follies to name a few. I’m this episode, I talk about some of Stephen Sondheim’s life highlights and why the musical Into the Woods is so special to me. RIP Stephen Sondheim.

On one of my previous podcast episodes on here, I talked about how I hate it when people think a Theatre Major, or any college degree in the arts for that matter, is worthless. Today, I talk to actress Michelle Jace, whom went to high school with me, we both did choir and theatre at our high school. Michelle went on to major in Theatre in college at the beautiful Cal State Chico in Northern California, not far from the Oregon/California border. It helped her realize that acting was perfect for her, and that she was going to follow her dreams no matter what. We also veered off into talking about acting for film and TV! We talked about how Hollywood is exploring different cultures around the world, as well as the theatre! This is my first podcast episode where I interview someone, so yay!

As a lifelong sufferer of OCD and anxiety, performing on stage has helped me get through some of the mentally toughest times through my life. Covid is not the first pandemic to ever happen. Many pandemics have occurred in history. Pandemics like the plague and the Spanish Flu had a massive effect on live theatre in its time.
