On this episode of the Zeal Podcast, we dive into multiple passages to discover more of what it means to hunger and thirst for God.
Both David and Mary exemplify a zealous heart posture that longs to know and experience God more than anything or anyone else.
While not all of the desires we have stem from our flesh, many of them do - and many of them replace the One whom we should be wanting most. God is worth craving, and He alone satisfies our hearts.

I'm so glad you're here!! come join in on this belated Easter podcast.
Isaiah 53:6 says, "We all like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all".
Without Jesus, we're like sheep without a shepherd - headed towards destruction. But the good news is that our God came and made a way for us to follow Him and be saved. He had compassion on us. Jesus is the good shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep. Do you know Him as Lord?
What does it look like to follow Jesus above anyone or anything else? Do you know Jesus' leading voice?
To be zealous for God is to step into Biblical faith - knowing who Jesus is, knowing what He says about us, and knowing He is a God of miracles who invites us to boldly enter His throne room with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).
In this life we often face difficult circumstances or lie awake at night with a heavy burden on our heart. What do we do with these things? Does God even care? Together let's dive into God's Word and discover how grand faith, rooted in knowledge, can change everything.
On this episode, I'm joined by my husband, Frank. We will dive into a bit of our story and share some of the many things that God taught us through the different seasons of singleness, dating, engagement, and marriage.
No matter what season of life you're in now, God is calling you to make Him the priority and your first love. He is present and working in your story. And He makes everything beautiful in its timing.
What is Jesus worth to you? In Matthew 13:44 we read a parable about a man who found "treasure in a field" and "sold everything he had to buy this field". Jesus told us that this is what the kingdom of Heaven is like. It has immeasurably more value than anything we've ever had or could have. And this treasure is Jesus Himself. The man in the parable so desperately wanted the treasure that nothing else in His life compared to it. Does this posture reflect how we treasure Jesus in our lives? A zealous follower of Jesus can hardly even begin wrapping their head around the beauty and worth of Him.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus calls those who follow Him the salt and light of the earth. What do these metaphors mean? Today, we'll look into how how true disciples are set apart by carrying these Christ-like attributes throughout their lives. Being the salt and light of this world means to live in a way that draws people to see the goodness of Jesus. And as we will find in this passage, they will glorify our Father in heaven because of it.
Get ready to dive into the breathtaking story of David and Goliath. David is referred to as "a man after God's own heart". He sees his desperate need for God and chooses to place his confidence in Him over anything else. Goliath on the other hand "defies" the Lord Almighty - making a mockery of God.
Together let's discover how our greatest strength is to surrender ourselves and rely fully on the power of our Lord. He will never fail and is deserving of our utmost trust.
To have zeal for God is to depend on Him.
In this first episode, we dive deep into the purpose and meaning behind starting the ZEAL podcast. What does the word zeal even mean? What are YOU zealous for in your life? The Bible will be the center point of each episode, and it's here where we find Truth! Today we read in Romans 12 and begin our journey in strengthening our zeal for Christ. John 10:10 is clear that full life is found in Jesus alone. He's inviting you to discover more of who He is and what He says through His Word! I am so glad you're here.
