
Workers and organisations today are competing in a knowledge economy. And the companies that thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving world, place learning at the forefront of their strategy. But the most successful companies do more than just create a strategy and talk about learning, they embed it deeply into the culture of the entire company. From top to bottom, the mindsets of each individual is learning-oriented and focused on what the Japanese call “Kaizen”, which translates to continuous improvement.
For an organisation to be agile, learning must become an integral part of its corporate culture.
But this is often harder to achieve than one thinks. With so much work pressure and distractions competing for our attention, getting team members to prioritise and engage with learning can be a hard task.
In today’s session, we wanted to unpack some practical approaches that we can use to drive a learning culture at our organisation in this new world of work. To answer this, we look at some of the preferences that have shifted, some mindsets that need to shift and we’ll unpack some practical tools that we can use to create a learning eco-system and culture.
