Pondering the idea of how what we value determines our actions and pursuits….and possibly, what we desire determines what we value. Is value subjective? It’s really just a rambling of thoughts that concludes in some pretty convicting realizations for myself, forcing some action :)

This is a little bit of my story. A little bit of how I got “here,” and a lot about what I value and why I’m no longer apologetic for my “past.” It’s not neat and clean but it’s certainly honest and I will spend the rest of my time making sure I make it worthwhile:) Additionally, who and where am I “supposed” to be? I have no idea but I’m happy to be here:) PS. How on earth do I talk this long???

Tryna revive this old thing:) Kicking off season 2, I’m ranting about my Hinge dates, new and old friendships and creative projects. CAUTION: It’s a long one and probably not my best work, but I’m gently easing my way in and hoping it all works out 🤪 FF to 39:30 and 1:07 respectively for my intention in my friendships and analysis of 2021 goals:)

Just a lil shortie thought ❤️. Today I just wanted to discuss a poem I love and the challenge it presents to find things that make us feel alive and awake. This takes effort to go after fulfillment-after all there is much less risk of disappointment in just sitting back and letting life go by…

I had the HONOR of spending time with Katie Weber, a friend of over 20 years. We have traveled the world on missions trips and sang for countless events together as we navigated the evangelical Christian culture of our upbringings. Together we reminisced (and lovingly criticized!) purity culture and the impact it had on each of us. We also discuss the culture and our understanding of why certain ideas were emphasized more or less than others. Katie graciously describes how she has found truth and peace beyond the framework we both have sifted through and deconstructed to various degrees. Many apologies for any choppy editing-this was a LONG conversation:)

Honored to chat with my longtime friend Jonathan “JD” Daddis about his career as a keys player on the east and west coast performing in successful jam band “Blind Man Sun” and working as an agent in LA for William Morris Agency. I found his personal journey from substance abuse to sobriety and subsequently finding his creative voice in a new phase of life, both relatable and inspiring.

My guest this week is my mother Kathy Hart, who opened a business in the face of uncharted struggles at the tender age of 52. The Wedding Factor has now grown from a humble 10 gowns into a successful bridal boutique in Philadelphia, showcasing hundreds of dresses . She shares her recollection of significant life events as well as insight into the healing and strength she has found afterwards, despite a depth of pain she did not know existed.
