The two also explore a phone call Steve had with a White friend of his who blatantly disagreed with the content of The WLMA Podcast and contrasted this call with other responses from “nice White people” who claim to agree and appreciate the podcast. They also talk about how the disconnects we feel with other people (such as race) represent disconnects with ourselves and how there is an aspect of violence to writing people off who are racist.
