On the 10th April 1995, 51 year old Janet Brown was home alone after a day of work. Having told her daughter she was having an early night, she was then brutally murdered in her own home. DNA of the attacker was found in the house but still 30 years on has not led to an arrest.
Two years later on the 11th April 1997, Carolanne (also known by Carolynne) had just returned home from a trip to France was attacked in her rural cottage and mudered. Item's of jewellery had been stolen and despite witness reports of a man leaving the area, police are yet to catch him.
Janet and Carolanne lived 11 miles apart and throughout the 27 years since both murders, police have questioned whether they are linked - so this week The Unsolved Podcast covers both cases and touches on other crimes in the area so that you the listeners can decide whether they are linked or not.
