They follow that with some discussions about the Chicago Marathon and their excitement for American distance running. It's Kona week. Tony and Austin breakdown the Ironman World Championships in Kona this week, but they start off the show with a bit of marathon talk. Chicago Marathon is also this weekend with a bunch of heavy hitters in the men's race. Will the American record finally fall?
The guys then jump into how they think the women's race in Kona will play out. It has been two years since the women have been here and there is a stacked field ready to take it on. They give picks, predictions and things they are excited for.
This week Austin chats with return guest and recent Ironman Maryland Winner, Guglielmo Schiavoni. They go over Gu's build into the race, race morning, and how everything on the course unfolded to lead him to a blistering time of 8:26:46.
