For this week's Totally Extra, Jimbo is joined by Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and Stuart James to look back at Derby County's infamous Premier League campaign in 2007/08.
Wrong place, wrong time for Billy Davies and Paul Jewell whose otherwise decent managerial careers were put under the spotlight with the history-making 11 point season. January business gone wrong, a -69 goal difference and only one win all season, but are they the worst Premier League side ever?
Stuart has stories from Swindon's 93-94 season as the panel look at some of the other contenders for this unwanted moniker, including Sheffield Utd in 23-24.
Plus, some of football's other unwanted records, including the longest goal drought and the player who had the longest run without a win.
Produced by Jesse Howard and Charlie Jones.

• PART 1b: Duncan’s quiz question (04.05)

Jimbo's got Natalie Gedra, Duncan Alexander and Charlie Eccleshare alongside him for a look back on all the midweek action (so far) - and look ahead to MD6 in the Premier League.
We begin with all the League Cup drama - including Ekitike's misguided undressing, Diego Gomez's banger after banger - and Joao Palhinha's overhead kick. There's also reaction to Forest's 2-2 draw with Real Betis in the Europa League on Wednesday night.
Then it's all eyes on the Premier League weekend - with the battle of the unbeaten sides at Selhurst Park, Arsenal trying to break their recent St James' hoodoo, Villa hoping to end their worrying start to the season - and Chelsea desperate to recapture some of that Cole Palmer magic after his remarkable first half showing in this fixture last year.
All that plus stellar pitches, bucolic walks, tough interviews - and an unfortunate cameraman.
Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva.

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens for company as the Euro gang dive into another busy weekend of action from across the continent.
In La Liga, Real Madrid continued their sensational run of form to begin the season with their latest victory, a 2-0 win over Espanyol featuring two absolute golazo’s from Éder Militão and Kylian Mbappé. They maintained their two-point lead over Barcelona - who beat Getafe 3-0 - with Marcus Rashford starting on the bench due to his poor timekeeping…
Over in France, we were made to wait for Le Classique with dramatic storms sweeping over the Cote d'Azur… don’t worry, Jules will give his reaction to *that* result next week! Thankfully, we were able to talk about a fiery Brittany derby and Monaco’s resurgent Ansu Fati.
In Serie A, Juve were perhaps suffering from a UCL hangover as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Hellas Verona, while Lorenzo Pellegrini’s remarkable redemption arc at Roma continued as he scored the only goal in Roma’s first win ‘away’ to Lazio since 2016.
And in the Bundesliga, you’ll never guess… Harry Kane is scoring goals! Three of them to be precise - taking his tally to 70 goals in 67 league matches. But he wasn’t the only British export bagging a dreierpack - with Oliver Burke getting three of his own in Union Berlin’s 4-3 victory at Frankfurt!
Plus - we’ve got plenty of Ballon d’Or chat, loud helicopters and particularly cheeky Nandos…
Produced by Lucy Oliva.

Jimbo has Daniel Storey, Jay Harris and Adrian Clarke for company, reacting to an enthralling Matchday 5 in the Premier League.
Man City were seconds away from a victory at the Emirates in a distinctly un-Pep performance before Gabriel Martinelli struck to make it 1-1. But champions Liverpool go 5 points clear after their Merseyside derby win on Saturday. Is Ryan Gravenberch the player of the season so far?
Elsewhere Wolves are rock bottom with no points, Villa scored but couldn't beat 10-man Sunderland and Chelsea's bad run at Old Trafford continued.
And we pay tribute to Oliver Glasner’s Eagles who beat hapless West Ham to make it 17 games unbeaten.
Produced by Charlie Jones

Big games await for both sides on Sunday with City travelling to The Emirates and Newcastle visiting Andoni Iraola's impressive Bournemouth side.
Plus Mourinho is appointed as new Benfica boss, back at the club where it all started for him in management.

Jimbo, Charlie Eccleshare, Colin Millar and Duncan Alexander assemble to pore over Tuesday and Wednesday's pretty tasty Matchday 1 Champions League ties.
Another late Liverpool goal? You don't say! We begin with Wednesday night at Anfield and the dramatic 3-2 win over Atletico, before turning attention to Chelsea's self-inflicted wounds in their 3-1 defeat by a superb Harry Kane-led Bayern Munich.
There's reflections on the wins for Tottenham and Arsenal on Tuesday night - and the rest of the action including the sacking of Bruno Lage at Benfica which seems to be opening the door for the return of a rather famous manager...
There was chaos in Turin, PSG purring, Trent limping off and headers aplenty elsewhere across the 12 matches we've seen so far - with no doubt more entertainment to come tonight.
We've got Carabao Cup fun - including Swansea's remarkable comeback against Ange's Forest - before a look ahead to the Premier League weekend that awaits!
Remember, we're back on Friday to reflect on Thursday night's Champions League action and preview the rest of the weekend's matches.
Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva.

The Euro crew are back as Jimbo, Pol Ballús, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Seb Stafford-Bloor (in person!) assemble for a bumper look ahead to Matchday 1 in the Champions League.
Barcelona proved it’s a case of no Yamal, no stadium, no problem - routing Valencia 6-0 in front of less than 6,000 fans at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. But it’s Real who continue to set the early pace - reduced to 10-men but still able to get the better of Sociedad to maintain their perfect start to the season.
The game of the weekend came in Serie A, where the Derby d'Italia certainly didn’t disappoint as the Thuram brothers took centre stage in a 4-3 thriller in Turin. Plus - Antonio Conte 2.0 shows he’s not as inflexible as everyone thinks - with his Napoli side coasting to a 3-1 win at Fiorentina to also make it three wins from three at the start of the campaign.
Bayern warmed up for the visit of Chelsea with an emphatic 5-0 Bundesliga victory over Hamburg on Saturday, while Leverkusen got the post-ten Hag era off to a winning start in their 3-1 beating of Frankfurt - despite being reduced to nine men!
PSG suffered injury blows aplenty in their 2-0 win over Lens which featured an emotional goodbye to one of their own - Presnel Kimpembe - after more than 20 years at the club. Plus, how equipped are Marseille to come away from the Bernabéu with a result in one of the most intriguing ties of the round?
All that plus training ground cats, Charli xcx’s wedding, nights out in Monaco and a whole lot of innuendo (we can only apologise).
Produced by Lucy Oliva.

Jimbo is joined by Duncan Alexander, Jay Harris and Tom Williams in the studio after the return of the Premier League.
City sweep United aside in the Manchester derby, with Erling Haaland adding to his massive goal tally this week.
For the 4th time this season, it's a late winner from Liverpool as Mo Salah's penalty at Burnley keeps the champions top of the table.
Arsenal's new signings impress in the 3-0 victory over Ange Postecoglou's Forest. And it's more misery for West Ham, Wolves and goalless Villa.
Plus great headers, ref cams and the latest evolution in non-celebrations.

Jimbo welcomes Duncan Alexander, Michael Cox and Pedro Pinto to reminisce on Jose Mourinho's trailblazing Porto side.
The panel look back on a time when this young, refreshing coach from Portugal turned Porto into world beaters, winning the UEFA Cup, 2 Primeira Liga's, 2 Portuguese cups and eventually the Champions League, with a talented side more attacking than you remember.
His European success, his way with words and his iconic touchline celebration at Old Trafford were most people in the UK's introduction to Mou, in what would become a long and unforgettable career.
It could have all been so different too; it was 25 years ago this month that Mourinho got that first managerial role at Benfica but they let him go and the rest is history.
Produced by Jesse Howard and Charlie Jones.

Jimbo's joined by Adrian Clarke, Benji Lanyado and Duncan Alexander as we gear up for a tasty weekend of enticing fixtures as the Premier League returns after the international break.
We begin with the news that broke (very) late on Monday night/ early Tuesday morning with Nuno Espirito Santo relieved of his duties at Nottingham Forest - replaced by Ange Postecoglou before lunchtime. Matt Davies from the Forest Focus podcast drops by to give his take on the dramatic week at the City Ground. So how will they fare against Arsenal on Saturday?!
There's a recap of all the midweek international action - including England turning on the style in their 5-0 win out in Serbia. Plus, Norway took a huge stride towards the 2026 World Cup as they put just the ELEVEN goals past Moldova on Tuesday evening! Tor-Kristian Karlsen brings us a flavour of the excitement building back in Oslo and beyond.
And of course, we've got all the build-up to the Premier League weekend - and the small matter of a Manchester derby to look forward to at the Etihad. Meanwhile, can Scott Parker avoid a 9-0 defeat on his return to Anfield? Can Jack Grealish get another two assists against his old side Villa?! And will West Ham prove that shock win at Forest last time out wasn't a fluke when they host rivals Tottenham?
Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva.

Jimbo's got Matt Davies-Adams, Michael Cox and Tom Williams alongside him to run the rule over a busy weekend of international qualifiers and WSL action.
England's 2-0 victory over Andorra at Villa Park was perhaps predictably drab, but it was goals galore elsewhere and records broken for the likes of Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands - not to mention emotional scenes in Buenos Aires after Lionel Messi's last match on home soil with Argentina.
There's a chance to reflect on the news that broke late on Thursday that Daniel Levy is to leave Tottenham after nearly 25 years as the league’s longest-serving executive chairman.
And the brand new WSL season got underway in some style with Chelsea continuing their remarkable unbeaten run, Olivia Smith scoring a banger on her Emirates debut - and Ornella Vignola bagging a hat-trick on her debut at Anfield in the Merseyside derby!
We've got epic away days, BBQs, sinkholes and Italy actually looking good in a World Cup qualifier for once...

Jimbo welcomes Duncan Alexander, Felipe Cardenas and Luis Miguel Echegaray to discuss one of the great forgotten sides of the last three decades - the Colombia team of the early 90s.
Led by Carlos Valderrama and sprinkled with the antics of goalkeeper Rene Higuita, Colombia captured the affections of many neutrals at Italia 90 and an iconic 5-0 win in Argentina saw them installed amongst the favourites for USA 94.
Amid the backdrop of death threats from the cartels, a side featuring Asprilla and Rincon were eliminated early with Andres Escobar tragically murdered 10 days after scoring a crucial own goal. Not the only Escobar in this remarkable story.
Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva.
RUNNING ORDER:

Jimbo is joined by Duncan Alexander, Natalie Gedra and Daniel Storey to discuss a busy transfer deadline day as well as the upcoming internationals.
Isak to Liverpool but no Marc Guehi, Muani to Spurs and new keepers in Manchester as transfer deadline day shuts with a flurry of action and record spend in the Premier League. Newcastle have a new big man and little man up top, Arsenal have yet another left back and which of Villa's loans will be a hit?
Internationals are back and Natalie Gedra tells us about the new look Brasil under Ancelotti and the panel discuss Thomas Tuchel's England and some pressure on him to entertain against Andorra and Serbia.

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens alongside him for a whole lot of European football chit-chat after an eventful transfer deadline day.
We begin over in Italy, where Jamie Vardy’s now having a party in Cremona after his late move to newly-promoted Cremonense. Speaking of strikers - will the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund cement Napoli’s status as favourites for the Serie A title?
Next stop - Ligue 1 - where it was goals galore on Saturday, as Lille put seven past Lorient in an extraordinary second half showing and Toulouse v PSG finished 3-6 with a Joao Neves masterclass… where he scored a hat-trick featuring two overhead kicks!
Over in the Bundesliga, Erik ten Hag’s short and fraught spell as Bayer Leverkusen manager was brought to a swift end following their collapse against 10 men in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Bremen. So where did it all go so wrong? And where do they turn next?
And in La Liga, Barcelona felt the benefit of VAR going awry - but they could only draw with Rayo Vallecano as Real Madrid took advantage as they continued their perfect start to the campaign under Xavi Alonso.
All that - plus the curse of being a former Manchester United manager, unsavoury scenes at the Leagues Cup final in Seattle - and the Sound of Music!
Produced by Lucy Oliva.
RUNNING ORDER:

Famed for his blistering pace and a penchant for rounding the keeper, but also for his regular fallings out with managers around the globe, resulting in his nickname 'Le Sulk'. Jimbo's joined by Duncan Alexander, Tom Williams and Colin Millar to take stock after a night of pure drama at Blundell Park as Manchester United suffered the indignity of being dumped out of the League Cup by League Two Grimsby Town.
We dial up a Mariners fan - actor, presenter and comedian Lloyd Griffith - and The Athletic's Manchester United reporter Laurie Whitwell to discuss the extraordinary scenes in Cleethorpes as Ruben Amorim's side plumbed new depths.
Then we turn out attention to the weekend's Premier League action - headlined by the small matter of Liverpool v Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon. How will Liverpool's defensive chaos match up with Arsenal's more measured approach to these big games?
Elsewhere, can Tottenham continue their eye-catching start to the season under Thomas Frank when they host Bournemouth? Which Man City will we see at Brighton? And just how bad are West Ham ahead of their trip to the City ground on Sunday?

Jimbo’s joined by Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle for your weekly dose of football chatter from across the continent.
We begin in Germany, where Bayern Munich got their title defence underway in emphatic fashion with a 6-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig. Harry Kane picked up where he left off last season, scoring a 13-minute hat-trick to take him to a ludicrous 65 goals in 64 Bundesliga games. Not such good news for Erik ten Hag’s Leverkusen though - beaten 2-1 by Hoffenheim at the BayArena.
In Ligue 1, despite the chaos off the field Marseille found some unity on it to beat Paris FC 5-2 at the Vélodrome, while PSG recorded another narrow 1-0 win as their underwhelming performances continued. Olivier Giroud stole the headlines with a 91st minute winner for Lille against Monaco - the 350th goal of his professional career!
Over in La Liga, there was late drama as Barcelona fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Levante. Meanwhile Real Madrid made it two wins from two themselves in far more comfortable circumstances at newly promoted Real Oviedo.
And there were plenty of intriguing scorelines in the first week of Serie A - including Inter’s 5-0 rout of Torino, Max Allegri’s Milan beaten 2-1 by the promoted Cremonense - and KDB kicking off life at Napoli with a goal in their 2-0 victory at Sassuolo - but he'll have to go some way to take Scott's crown...

Arsenal thrash Leeds 5-0 with Viktor Gyökeres grabbing his first goals for the club. But it’s the debut of 15-year-old prodigy Max Dowman that has everyone talking.
Everton debut at their new stadium with a 2-0 win over Brighton. Tom Williams was there for us.
Nuno makes noises about trouble at Forest but his side battle back to draw at Selhurst Park in the CASico.

This week on show no.2 of your new Saturday morning helping of Totally, Jimbo opens the footballing almanac on Jurgen Klinsmann's page.
The German striker made his Premier League debut for Spurs on this week in 1994, and Jimbo gets the band back together - Raphael Honigstein, Juliens Laurens and James Horncastle - to remember the first Jurgen of English football.
Famed for his blond locks and his spectacular goals but most memorably on these shores, for his diving for Germany and the subsequent celebration for Spurs.
