The buying and selling of sermons has become big business. Premade sermons in general are a massive issue. This week, we look at a selection of websites pushing these sermons. Join me next week, when we look at a specific brand of premade sermons.Want to support the podcast?One-time or monthly support: givesendgo.com/ewtcpodcastMonthly support and interaction: https://www.patreon.com/TLDRChristianityPodcastEmail:tldrchristianity@gmail.comFacebook:facebook.com/EWTCNews
Is Mark Driscoll someone Christians can trust, or should we avoid him? Personally, I think we should avoid him, so let's do a survey of his controversies, past and present. Has he changed?

Analogies are a funny thing. Just because we can connect The Lion King to "white privilege" doesn't mean anything, unless the points are rooted in truth. I've wanted to look at this clip for some time, and finally put a video together. I hope you enjoy, and I hope it gets you to think more Biblically.Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHircZI9XmMWant to support the podcast?One-time or monthly support: givesendgo.com/ewtcpodcastMonthly support and interaction: https://www.patreon.com/TLDRChristianityPodcastEmail:tldrchristianity@gmail.comFacebook:facebook.com/EWTCNews
Freedom is a funny word, or at least the way people use it is. What is "freedom," Biblically and civilly speaking? And for comparison, is David French's view correct?

We're looking at translation this week. This is going to be a fun conversation that will get you thinking more and thinking clearer. People often look to small towns as holding onto the Christian heritage of our country, and as the solution to our political insanity. That doesn't seem to be the case, and small towns are losing that heritage at an alarming rate.Want to support the podcast?One-time or monthly support: givesendgo.com/ewtcpodcastMonthly support and interaction: https://www.patreon.com/TLDRChristianityPodcastEmail:tldrchristianity@gmail.comFacebook:facebook.com/EWTCNews
How did society get to a point where innocents are slaughtered and political commentators are assassinated? It's all about fundamental ideologies. Not the broader worldview, but the underpinnings of someone's view of truth. There has been a very intentional shifting in the West's view of truth over the past 100+ years, and that shift is what we're looking at this week.

This week, we look at a sermon from a pastor at JD Greear's Summit Church. In it, pastor Loritts makes an incredibly offensive analogy equating systemic racism to sexual abuse. What is the point of the story of Samson? Why did God include it? And how is he an example of faith for us to look to? There's so much more value in this story than we typically see, and I'm excited to lay out a bit of the context.Want to support the podcast?One-time or monthly support: givesendgo.com/ewtcpodcastMonthly support and interaction: https://www.patreon.com/TLDRChristianityPodcastEmail:tldrchristianity@gmail.comTwitter/X:x.com/TLDRChristianFacebook:facebook.com/EWTCNews
This was originally a video I made 4 years ago covering my time church planting in the Southern Baptist Convention, and the false gospel I was being told to teach. I know many followers of the podcast haven't seen this, so I decided to rerelease it. I hope you find this helpful.
Emails with Dhati Lewis, Restoration and the Three Circles, and Send Network Values Booklet:https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NOhpN4XQpz1_rNBb77yHnHIHCcsn9YRF?usp=sharing
Oh, as an interesting thing, I had direct links to the content I was sent from Dhati on my initial video, but NAMB kept changing the web addresses when I would update the links. Finally, I gave up and provided it all via that Google Drive link.
Clarifications:
I accidentally called Jesus the little brother of James, but it's the other way around!
I mentioned that "restoration and the three circles" is found in multiple places on Send's website. This is incorrect, and it seems to only exist in the handout Dhati sent me, as well as in a video he made. It's "Restoration through the great requirement" that is found in multiple places.
Dhati sent me "Restoration and the Three Circles" with his first email, and linked additional resources in a later email. If it seems that I refer to things that are not directly seen in the text of our emails, it's because I'm lumping those in as part of the conversation.
I did not mean to imply that Evangelicalism wouldn't exist without the SBC, but only that the SBC is such a large branch of the evangelical church, both now and historically, that without it, it's likely that evangelicalism wouldn't be viewed as such a distinct category." In a lot of ways, the SBC is evangelicalism" was partially hyperbolic. Again, the SBC is such a large percentage of evangelicalism in North America, and touches even more via resources and seminaries, that the direction it moves can have a vast and profound impact on the whole movement.

There are a few important questions I've seen come up (or be implied) from people regarding the Faith Baptist documentary. The big question/assumption from people is about JD's salvation. In light of the story of Faith Baptist Church, I wanted to talk a bit about problem pastors. First, we'll go over an example, then we'll talk a bit about practical responses. This is the start of what I hope will be several episodes about dealing with church health issues. Do advocates of CRT (or other derivatives of Critical Theory) care who they radicalize? Or even what they radicalize people into? The answer to both is no. Why? Well, let's talk about that.
