Laura Brumsey is the Vice president of operations and administration at the Compressed Gas Association (CGA).
In the gas and welding industry, the CGA is how we run our daily operations. They are the association that mandates how to safely handle compressed gases and without them, our industry wouldn't exist safely..and without our industry daily life would look quite different. CO2 in your beverage, Argon needed to build new construction, bio-med, and technology in need of specialty gases all would be without supply.
The gas and welding industry has a huge impact on the United States economy which means Laura's job includes meeting with the very top leaders of multi-billion dollar companies. Think about going into a room of some of the most powerful people in our country and asking them to back your initiative..pretty scary, huh? Laura breaks down what that experience is like and how to maintain your confidence.
In this episode, we also dive into how Laura got to where she is and her advice to anyone trying to work their way up in their industry or leading emerging professionals.
Curious to know where Laura sees the future of the gas and welding industry going? She answers that as well.
