We are back on the Tiger Bloc Podcast! This episode, we’ve got returning guest “Charlie,” with us to talk about Belarusian foreign fighters in Ukraine fighting against Russia. You may remember Charlie from our podcast with Ukrainian mutual aid group Solidarity Collectives.
An underreported aspect of the war in Ukraine is the participation of Belarusian political dissidents fighting on the Ukrainian side. Charlie is Belarusian, and with John Chinaman, she discusses the recent history of the authoritarian Lukashenko regime and the people who fled.
After Russia invaded Ukraine (again) in 2022, Charlie explains why people like her fight, how they’re organized, and her experiences as a combat medic. It was a privilege to be able to talk to her about her work and the people who have their lives fighting against fascism.
John and Charlie also talk about Marsy, a comrade to Charlie and so many other antifascists in Ukraine. A veteran of the revolution in Rojava, Marsy was killed fighting near Avdiivka on November 11, 2023.

In this episode of the Tiger Bloc podcast, we dive into some hot-button issues currently shaking up the world of USPSA: The growing controversy surrounding transgender athletes in the sport. In recent months, the USPSA Board of Directors has been in deep debate over how trans athletes should be categorized—discussions have included proposals like hormone testing and other verification methods.
Soju Operator is joined by returning guest Evo and newcomer All Branch No Tree to unpack the current landscape for transgender competitors, explore how broader political and cultural tensions are impacting the shooting sports community, and brainstorm possible new approaches to athlete categorization.

This podcast is a recording of a December 13, 2024 live reading and Q&A session conducted by our friend James Stout. James is one of the foremost investigative journalists working today in the foreign policy arena, reporting on things like the civil war in Myanmar against the military junta, and on migration through the Darien Gap.
In this presentation, James reads a chapter from his forthcoming book Against the State and takes questions about Rojava, revolution, and antifascism. Also during this event, James and Yellow Peril Tactical were able to raise almost $650 for the Kurdish Red Crescent (Heyva Sor a Kurd) and Tekoşîna Anarşîst, anarchist internationalists currently fighting in AANES against Turkish-funded forces.
We look forward to sharing more ways to support the struggle in Rojava on YPT this year!

On this week’s episode of the Tiger Bloc Podcast, the woman, the myth, the legend, Tacticool Girlfriend returns! TCGF is a firearms content creator who provides informative videos on firearm usage, safety, and ownership. Her channel aims to offer a fresh perspective within the firearms community, focusing on responsible and practical firearm ownership. Basically, think of firearms education without the baggage of shitty right wing politics.
SInce we last spoke, TCGF has grown her channel to over 62K subscribers, continued in gear review and training content, and competed in brutality matches with none other than Karl and Russell from Inrange TV. Recently she has had to unfortunately announce the end of future content product of her channel as she moves on to new endeavors in life.
Together, Soju Operator, Yoshiko, and TCGF reflect upon the past few years on firearms content on Youtube, the dynamics between companies and influencers, and the realities of leftist ownership of firearms.

This week on the Tiger Bloc Podcast, we are very pleased to be able to bring you an interview with some homies from the Upstate New York chapter of the Socialist Rifle Association to talk about organizing in places hostile to firearm ownership. We know that a lot of you live in places like California or New York with laws and culture that make it hard to get firearms and training. UNY SRA tells us how they nevertheless have persevered. Together Soju Operator and John Chinaman talk what the New York legal environment is like, how to get a gun and train, how UNY SRA is working to spread a message of positive and safe firearm ownership in a generally unreceptive environment, and why, in a ban state, you should still get an AR and not a Mini 14.
Check our Instagram and Twitter for pictures of some of the things we talked about on the podcast. And you can find UNY SRA on Instagram or Twitter at @sra_upstateny, and check out their LinkTree at https://linktr.ee/unysra

On this week’s episode of the Tiger Bloc Podcast, we have the return of the one and only Alana McLaughlin, Lady Feral herself!
For those who missed our previous episode featuring her, Alana is the second ever openly transgender woman mixed martial arts fighter, who had her first professional fight under Combate Global. She is also a leftist activist, firearms owner, and community organizer currently doing outreach work in the Pittsburgh area.
Since our last conversation, the current climate for her fight career faced nearly insurmountable challenges. With the overwhelming transphobia that permeates the world of Mixed Martial Arts continually perpetuated by the lies of far-right bigots, Alana has unfortunately been unable to find an opponent willing to fight her. Her newly released documentary film, “Unfightable”, details her difficulty navigating life as a trans fighter and finding the inner strength to push forward.
Together, Soju Operator, John Chinaman, and Alana discuss the increased culture of transphobia within the sport of MMA, dispel anti-trans myths within sports, explain why Jake Shields is a total jackass, and elaborate on what being an ally means.

It’s great to be back with everyone on the Tiger Bloc Podcast! On this episode, John Chinaman interviews Ukrainian antifascist and anti-authoritarian Dmytro Mrachnik. Dmytro has been fighting in Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022. Please bear with us on the sound quality. With power and internet failures in Ukraine, this podcast had to be a recorded phone call.
Dmytro takes us back to 2014 and the Maidan Revolution, when he was hanging in the Kyiv punk rock scene. Dmytro gives us his perspective as a dual Russian and Ukrainian speaker and dispels myths about supposed discrimination against Russian speakers.
Dmytro describes how the left reacted to the Maidan and Russian invasion in 2014, and what changed in 2022 with an increased left wing response and militancy. As is depressingly common, Dmytro also relates the lack of an international left-wing response to assist the Ukrainian left, even two years after the full-scale invasion.
Dmytro also talks a bit about what army life is like. Dmytro fought in both the Kharkiv and Bakhmut fronts. Since joining the military, he’s actually risen in the ranks to first lieutenant. Listen to the podcast to learn about the experience of an antifascist in the military.
Dmytro is a prolific writer about politics and Ukrainian culture. You can find his writings on nihilist.li and Anarchist Library.

We’re finally back at it. This week, (some of) the boys are back in town for another absurd episode. Katon and Evo once again return this time alongside YPT contributors Soju Operator and Kalashnikoffing. For those who missed the last episode, Katon is a newly minted USPSA Grand Master Class level shooter under the Carry Optics division and Evo is a security and EMT professional currently working towards medical school.
As one can imagine, only the SPICEST of takes are discussed here. Together, they cover various topics in regard to the firearms space including what it takes to reach Grand Master level, firearms training myths perpetuated by the left, process vs results-oriented training, why the idea of “gatekeeping” in the competitive shooting space is mostly bullshit, shit talking Tu Lam, and why MIRA Safety is a total joke of company.

On this week’s episode, John Chinaman was able to interview Ukrainian drone pilot and self described “queer disaster” Kafa. They are a non-binary anarchist who fought with the 93rd Mechanized Brigade in Bakhmut.
Content warning: this episode includes graphic descriptions of war, political repression, and violence.
Kafa told their story to YPT, from their journey growing up in Crimea, to fleeing after Russia’s 2014 invasion to Kyiv, to living in Berlin. They returned to Ukraine after Russia again invaded in 2022. They discuss what it’s like to be non-binary and an anarchist in the infantry.
Kafa describes why they decided to fight and how they enjoy army life. Kafa also addressed the debates in the West about whether the USA and others should give arms to Ukraine. Importantly, Kafa confirms that they are the They/Them Army everyone keeps talking about on Twitter 👀
P.S. Kafa is an avid birdwatcher, and they have requested books about birds in your native language. DM them if you’ve got a book!

Apologies for the hiatus! On this week’s episode of the Tiger Bloc Podcast, we feature a good friend and one of the best medical trainers in the business, Dan Bernal of Grizzly Medical!
Dan is a former US Army combat medic, having directly saved lives in missions as well as having taught Iraqi and Kurdish medics in joint combat operations. He also served as an on-site TCCC and EMT trainer. Recognizing a severe lack of knowledge for practical first aid training in the civilian world, Dan created Grizzly Medical. The company’s mission is to provide the latest in TCCC doctrine and combine this with live simulations in order to bring the most grounded, truth-to-life first-aid training possible to non-professionals.
Together, Soju Operator and Dan discuss the insufficiency of current Stop the Bleed training, why you should always be carrying a medical kit, medical misconceptions, first-hand experience in saving a man’s life, the tourniquet market, the value of live simulation training, and what his classes offer.

This week’s episode of the Tiger Bloc Podcast involves alcohol and hot takes. This ain’t your dad’s leftist gun podcast episode.
Joining Soju Operator is Katon who returns once more, this time with his guest, Evo. For those who unaware, Katon is a USPSA Master Class level shooter under the Carry Optics division and Evo has an extensive professional background in security work, firearms training, and medical first aid.
Together, the 3 of them get intoxicated and start laying their hottest takes and takeaways on how to actually get good at shooting, dispelling the myth of being the “jack of all trades”, why you should stop listening to YouTubers for practical advice, why your favorite dry fire gizmo probably sucks, why it’s ok to challenge others, and the power of love.
