Welcome! We are Rachel and Charis, sisters and licensed clinical therapists with over thirty years of combined experience. In our personal and professional experiences we have learned how much we all have in common as women inhabiting this earth, and how often we struggle in silence and isolation. We invite you to come along with us as we come home to ourselves--engaging in the deconstruction of who we were told we were–be it because of traumas or familial or cultural messaging–and growing into the reconstruction of who we are truly meant to be. Look for new episodes every Tuesday.

How to Assertively Communicate Your Boundaries Using DEAR MAN

Today is a minisode and Charis walks us through how to use the DEAR MAN tool from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to approach conversations where you need to assertively ask for something or say no to something.

Deciding on a boundary is one thing. Communicating it is quite another. It can be challenging to know how to broach these conversations, but this tool provides a helpful framework from which to do so.
