They say money is not the most important thing in this world, but it affects everything that is important, and in the process of learning and earning, we can easily have a mindset that is so focused on money. That is why we are dedicating this episode to the topic of not just finance but purposeful finance. In this episode, we will be talking about why everything must be rooted in purpose.
This is one of the topics that I wish was taught in school kasi it’s really crucial for us to have that knowledge in money otherwise, no matter how big our income is, if we don’t know how to manage it, we might still end up broke.
For this episode, I am joined by another good friend of mine, Jay Tolentino. “Kuya Jay” is a Financial Literacy Evangelist and an Independent Financial Planner based in Dubai. He holds certifications from multiple awarding bodies, such as the Chartered Insurance Institute UK (CII) Associate Financial Planner (AFP) and Registered Financial Planner (RFP). Last year, he was given the Excellence Award in Insurance & Other Financial Services by the Filipino Social Club as part of the celebration of Philippine Independence Day.
Also last August 2020, he was invited to speak in Congress to represented the sentiments of many OF’s regarding the mandatory 3% contribution being asked by Philhealth. Lastly, he is the host of Finance Fridays, and Real Talk On Real Estate thru his Purpose Driven Finance FB page & YT channel, which can also be streamed on Pera & Purpose Podcast.
