No one is quite sure what turns their eyes grey... Saaut is one of the strange people known as The Grey Eyes. They have gods like The Church and power like The Consortium, but are hunted and ridiculed by both. They try to keep to themselves, but Saaut finds that he is about to be far removed from the lands he grew up in.

The thief, Whisper, leaves the comfort of Marauder Jal’s scars and is now traveling to become a mage. He quickly finds that he is greatly lacking in the skills required to become a mage, and his time to prepare is much much shorter than he thought.
