John, Em, James and Oscar cast a 3CR critical eye over the world of sport. We endeavor to address the same issues that other 3CR programs are passionate about – justice, peace, indigenous and cultural issues, the environment, LGBTIQA+ issues etc. – but we examine them through the prism of sport. But it's not all talk. We balance the verbal with a vast array of footy and sports songs.

Today's program focused on reviewing stuff. In the old days pretty much the only footy panel of note was on the Sunday show, 'World of Sport'. Today there are a plethora of footy shows across free to air and paid platforms - some are very good, others not so good. Some of them seem obsessed with having segments with stupid names - unnecessary and really annoying. Song: The World of Sport theme medley.SBS are showing a brilliant documentary on the women's version of the mostly unknown history of Tour De France. The first one was in 1955. Then it was brought back in the 80s and now again in the 2020's.Being a film made by an Australian film unit it is surprising that the contribution of the Australian teams was barely mentioned - yes for four years in the 80's we had an Australian cycling team representing us at the Women's Tour De France. And one of our riders actually made the podium - long before Cadel Evans!Congratulations to the Opals winning the Basketball Asian Cup.

(obvious question but we had to ask) How can I watch Le Mans Cup on TV?What is the physicality of motor racing? What is it like inside the car? Does the engineering advances in motor racing flow through to make our street cars safer and more economical? Song: Jerry was a Race Car Driver by Primus
