the keys to my house
The Sound of Ankush
1 minute 30 seconds
the keys to my house

She called my name thrice,

I could hear it the first time

I sensed a trembling in her voice

All she said was, that she is fine

It came crushing down my spine

How could things get ruined, by just one line?

Maybe she prayed to all the sins, that I had in my closet

I prayed to what I had left in my wallet

The coin of despair, I never call on heads.

Tails, is what it always shows, there’s more than what’s left

A broken heart, is not what you should get, she poured

Your name is like blood on a sword,

The keys to my house, I left them at your door,

Our bodies could part, but what about the soul?

What about it? she said

I lost my self somewhere in your head.

She called my name again

This time, I could only see the pain.

Where were you all this while,

Your coin of despair, I’ll buy it, if you smile.

I can’t smile, No more,

The keys to my house I left them at your door
