Jocelyn's abuse was only made worse by family members who refused to acknowledge what she had suffered, and expected her to remain quiet.
Her haunting story reminds us why teaching children the correct names for their private body parts is so vitally important.
Jocelyn knows the value of having a safe space to share her truth. She does that here with all of us.

Deborah's intrafamilial abuse started when she was around 4 years of age. She spoke out to a parent, but this was never followed up, and the abuse continued into her teens.
The realisation that she could cut the people who had hurt her out of her life was a large part of starting to move forward. She has now written a book to share her story, and to encourage others to share theirs.
What's your story? Are you ready to share it?

Leila's story shows us how teens can so easily be made to believe that their abuse is a relationship, and that they are somehow being shown love. Her uncle, whose job led people to think he was a "trustworthy" member of society, was very far from that behind closed doors.

Leila has a very unique story to share. She was sexually abused by her father throughout her adolescence.
After a challenging early life, she found herself at the age of 24, about to be married, and thinking of her future family.
She knew her father could never be a part of their lives without serious acknowledgement of what had gone before and change.
Hear this remarkable story of how she and her father worked together to mend their relationship.

Seth grew up in an unhappy and abusive household. At 10 years of age he found an escape to the house of an older man who invited him to play video games and have pizza - a "kids paradise".. but before long the touching started, and this progressed to expose Seth to sexual experiences no child should be put through.
When, at 15, a friend opened up that he too had been touched by this man, they went together to report him to the police.
Hear Seth's brave story and his desire to support other victims to recognise the power in speaking out. He wants others to learn to focus on healing themselves, as he has learnt to do for himself.

Violet's earliest childhood memory is of being abused. She was prostituted by her mother from a young age, then "bought" by her grandfather to suffer yet more.
At some point, she turned the page, and started writing her own story. She now has an organisation that supports others who have suffered.
This is a heartbreakingly honest story, from a woman who has found hope where we might assume there was none to be found. As Violet says, "As long as you are breathing, there is hope".

Annie spent years carrying the shame of her abuse, and trying to bury it within herself. When people first heard of her abuse she was victim blamed and made to feel disgusting. Finally someone told her "this was not your fault" and she was able to believe it. What message of support would you give to Annie?
