In my freshman year of college, I took my Spring semester off so I could process the fact that I was sexually assaulted. Being able to accept that something had happened to me, that something was taken from me was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life. But this hard time is not something that is rare. Sexual assault is something that happens to people every day but yet, it is still something that people don't talk about.
