#23 James Sills: The Power of Music

Musician and Singer James Sills joins me on the show to share his story and talk about all things related to music and mental health. James is a choir leader, singer, and former music teacher so has seen first hand the impacts of both music and mental health. As a choir leader, James has used his position to make a difference and bring people together through the power of music, such as working with the homeless, and virtually though lockdown bringing the world together. James' book "Do Sing" discusses the positive impacts a group of men coming together to sing can have and how making yourself vulnerable is key. Over lockdown, 'The Sofa Singers' emerged and this group has become a worldwide sensation linking people from across the globe, even on Christmas Day to sing together. This episode is full of incredible tips and motivation to be your true authentic self, and explains the true power of music.
