Ollie's messages about goals, mindset, and purpose can relate to everyone as I personally took a lot from this episode.
Stand-up Comedian, author and mental health advocate Dave Chawner joined me on the show to share his eye opening story talking openly about his battle with the eating disorder Anorexia. The way Dave speaks about Anorexia and eating disorders is eye opening and not as I first imagined. Being a comedian and mental health advocate, this was a very entertaining yet deep episode where we discussed everything from dogs, to veganism, to life-changing books. Dave is doing some great things and currently working on not only his own comedy but also a comedy course to help and inspire other's. It was a pleasure to record this episode and I encourage you all to read Dave's book, you won't regret it!

Mark has appeared on many stage and screen productions, best known for playing 'Spanner' in BBC One's 'Our Girl,' with the iconic catchphrase 'Boss.' Mark shared his journey into acting and the struggles which actors face particularly going months if not years without work, and how to build up the mental resilience to carry on and aim follow your ambitions. Being my favourite program of all time, we discussed Our Girl in great detail with Mark casually name dropping the likes of Michelle Keegan, Luke Pasqualino and Olly Rix, three massive fan favourites. It seems as if Mark has a funny little antidote for every part of his career, which made this another incredibly entertaining episode. If you put two Celts together, in this case a Scott and a Welshman they'll talk like there's no tomorrow and that's definitely what we did as this episode was like two mates having a catch-up. Look out for Mark's up-and-coming Podcast coming soon also!

Artist Mini James joined me on the show to talk all things music and mental health. You may recognize Mini's voice as he wrote, produced and performed The Schofield Stories intro & outro music which you hear on every episode. Despite being fairly new to the music industry, Mini is making his mark as an artist, developing his own style and producing a range of music. It was fascinating hearing how Mini got into music and the challenges he was and still is faced with in the music industry. We also talked about mental health, with regards to the struggles around stepping away from the crowd and what impact that can have. It was a great honour to find out a bit more about real James, rather than just the artist 'Mini James.' Check out theschofieldstories.com to find links to more music by Mini James!
Stand-up Comedian & Comedy Writer Ricky Glore joins me on the show to share his story about venturing into the world of comedy. Ricky has had a lifetime love for comedy, preaching how it's better to do something you enjoy and not make a tonne of money than do a job you put up with purely for the money. Whether it's stand-up, improv, writing, acting, directing, or producing there's not a lot that Ricky hasn't done. It was an honour and great fun to interview someone as versatile and successful as Ricky, he was sharp and witty both on and off camera which made the episode a lot of fun. If you haven't checked out Ricky Glore, search him up on YouTube and you won't be disappointed!
If you're at university, why not do a podcast with your flatmates? This is arguably one of the funniest episodes I have ever recorded and we all had such a laugh doing this episode. It's not planned, it's not polished, and it's certainly not professional. We talk about everything from equal rights, to my questionable meal choices, to what we all want to do with our lives. But mainly, whatever the topic i ended up getting roasted by my flatmates and if that doesn't make you want to tune in, then I don't know what will. Join McLovin, Man's Comfy, Bland, KP, Big C, and Smokes as we discuss uni life and all that comes with it...

Danyl Johnson joined me on the show to share his story. Aged 27, Danyl entered The X Factor only to finish 4th and become a much loved contestant. Simon Cowell stated Danyl's audition was 'the best first audition' he's ever heard. Since then Danyl has continued with his music career as well as becoming an ambassador and the face of The Post Code Lottery, everyday someone will sing "someone's knocking at the door" to Danyl. It was fascinating to hear about how much work goes into both The X Factor and The Post Code Lottery behind the scenes which we as the audience don't see. It was a great honour to hear meet and interview Danyl and I can honestly say it felt like speaking to a mate. A great light-hearted episode not to be missed!
University can be a challenging time for everyone, especially those with a stutter. I myself am starting university this year, and thanks to Stop Holding Back and The Starfish Project I'm in the perfect mindset and cannot wait to get started, but unfortunately this is not the case for everyone. So, The Schofield Stories University Special is here to provide an insight and advice to people who stutter starting university, to hopefully shed some light on what seems to be a daunting time. Here we talk about non-avoidance, what to do during lectures, and what to say to your flatmates. A lot of the advice included is advice I've been giving and will be giving myself throughout the university experience, as what I'm practically doing is going in head first and not holding back, in order to embrace the whole experience, but also to share with everyone the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Olympic Speed Walker/Race Walker Tom Bosworth joined me on the show to share his story. We had a great discussion about sport, mindset and how Tom went from finishing last in all his races to becoming a British and World Champion purely through training, dedication and persistence. Tom has broken and set numerous British and World Records, as you'll find out by listening more records than I could keep up with. As well as being a successful athlete, Tom made history in 2015 by being the first openly gay Team GB Track and Field athlete; so we had a great talk about what that means to Tom and how there is still a stigma surrounding sexuality and sport. It was an honour meeting Tom and wish him all the best for the Olympics in Tokyo 2021.
Comedian and Impressionist Danny Posthill joins me on the show to share an insight into his career as an impressionist. You may recognize Danny from getting to the final of Britain's Got Talent, as well as appearing in Panto, and touring the UK and abroad. This is by far one of the funniest episodes I've ever recorded, Danny talks about how he got into impressions, the turbulence of having a career in the entertainment industry, and some of his best and worst moments on the comedy circuit. To me, this episode felt like two mates talking and having a laugh, which is why this episode is 100% authentic as I couldn't bring myself to edit out any parts. Prepare for impressions of Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, Steve Irwin, Michael McIntyre, Sylvester Stallone, Nigel Farage, Joe Pasquale, Sarah Millican, and many more...
Neil Bresnan joined me on the show to tick off appearing on a podcast from a very special bucket list. Neil has suffered from a stutter for all his life, and therefore it has held him back in many ways, leading him to believe there are certain speaking situations Neil believed he would never be able to speak in. However, after listening to an episode of The Schofield Stories featuring speech coach Chase Gillis, Neil was encouraged by loved ones to reach out to Chase and ask for help with his speech. Fast forward down the line and Neil is doing things he never thought was possible. A few days ago I got a text from Chase (who's a good friend of mine) and stated one of his clients wants to appear on a podcast, and of course I was more than happy to help. Being given the opportunity to listen to Neil's story is truly humbling, and the fact he was a fan of The Schofield Stories, an episode inspired him to reach out, and now Neil is on as a guest himself is why not only I do what I do, but why I love it!
