Moving through triggers and what arises in the body following trauma and abuse. TW: Childhood sexual abuse and recovery.
In this episode we dive into emotional flashbacks, what they feel like in the body somatically and my own journey healing from CPTSD and triggers. We discuss good girl conditioning, people pleasing, co-dependency and trauma responses that we've adopted along the way to stay safe. How to start healing on a deeper level by trusting our intuition, speaking our needs and developing greater self-trust and agency especially when forming new relationships.

Reminder you are not alone if navigating abuse and it's important to get the support you need along the way. I would not be where I'm at today without others and it's important to find those who are trauma-informed and can help guide and help you heal.
Somatic therapy has been the number one healing modality for me and one I recommend if you are moving through childhood sexual abuse and flashbacks. It allows you to create safety in the body and clear stored trauma at a deeper level than traditional talk therapy.
