Maja Hanna – Actor, Director, Expression Mentor and Rebel Poet
Maja is, at her core, a storyteller. A storyteller who knows if we approach ourselves and each other with curiosity and deep listening, transformation is inevitable. She has a decade-plus background in theatre and has worked nationally and internationally as a performer for many festivals and companies including Zen Zen Zo, Imaginary Theatre, Woodford, Shakespeare Unplugged (Brisbane), Black Swan State Theatre Company, PVI Collective, Perth International Arts Festival, Upstart, Class Act, Emergence Co (Perth), SITI Company (NY) and Punchdrunk (UK). She has also spent the last six years of her career working as a director, storyteller and performance poet and staging her own work.
Maja has a passionate knack for guiding people back to their playful natures, and works with people from all walks to unlock their authentic expression. For the Tale-Spinners, she began and continues to run a rollicking storytelling night in Brisbane (For The Record).
Her creations are always carefully and craftily considered - combined with a hefty sprinkling of Random Things That Come Up in the Moment.
She believes fervently in playful art and artful play.
