Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel presents: The Hulk Hogan Tribute Episode
n today’s episode of the Time Tunnel Podcast, Tony Richcards is joined by WWWF analyst and commentator, Steve Gennerelli and our Time Tunnel Producer, Jake Hamar. Last week we got the surprising news about the passing of one of pro wrestling’s biggest stars, Hulk Hogan. Hogan was a catalyst for a new era in professional wrestling during the decade of the 1980s. We, at the Time Tunnel felt we should do something to respect and honor his contribution to the pro wrestling business. Steve had been a WWWF and WWF observer for almost 10 years by the time Hulk Hogan made his debut for his second run in the WWF for the National Expansion in late 1983 and early 1984. Steve’s stories about seeing Hogan on his first WWWF run and his entry the second time are amazing. Jake’s first time seeing Hogan was at the age of 4 or 5 and it wasn’t long before he was transformed into a little Hulkamaniac. If not for Hulk Hogan, Jake might not have ever discovered pro wrestling at all. We think you’ll enjoy his take as a youngster and as a fan of The Hulk. Tony chimes in with some history and his own perspective. While we all saw Hulk Hogan in different times of our lives and different places, We think you’ll enjoy this look at Hulk Hogan through three different lenses and at three different perspectives. Episode 16 is now live of the Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel Podcast: The Tribute to Hulk Hogan Show. *Video production by Time Tunnel Podcast Producer, Jake Hamar The Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel

Movies in Minutes with Gene Jackson: Episode 1 – BODY SLAM (1986)
In the premiere of Movies in Minutes (where Gene Jackson does short reviews of pro wrestling related movies), Gene takes a sarcastic stroll down memory lane to revisit the 1986 cult oddity Body Slam — a movie that asks the burning question: What if the LEAST known actor on the A-Team starred in his own movie? Starring Dirk Benedict (Face from The A-Team), “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Sam Fatu, and Captain Lou Albano (as a version of himself with even less self-control), this movie mixes rock music, wrestling, mob thugs, and questionable life choices into one gloriously weird, low-budget clusterf***. Does Body Slam hold up in 2025? (Spoiler: not really.) Does it still entertain in the way only a politically incorrect, poorly edited '80s wrestling movie can? Absolutely. Highlights include: • Roddy Piper as “Quick Rick Roberts” • Captain Lou Albano attempting to read cue cards • Cameos from Rick Flair, Bruno Sammartino, and Freddie Blassie • Korean mobsters played by Samoans • A tag team named “The Cannibals” • And a rock band called “Kick” (as in listening to them is like a “KICK in     the nuts”) If you've ever wondered what would happen if someone made a wrestling movie without understanding wrestling OR movies... this is your chance!

Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel: Personalities, Territories, Towns & Buildings: AWA 1975 w/George Schire
On this episode Tony welcomes the amazing AWA Historian, George Schire. Coming from his “wrestling room” in his home in Minnesota, George joins the show as Tony settles in from The Richards Ranch to hear him run down the history of how the AWA was formed, the career of Verne Gagne and many other aspects of the wrestling territory that George has spent his lifetime following, studying and collecting. George is also one of the most highly respected advocates for several of the wrestling organizations out there including the original WFIA, the Cauliflower Alley, Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame and others. George has not only been a fan and historian, but also close, personal friends with several wrestlers including, but not limited to, Nick Bockwinkel and Dick Beyer, whom both he discusses on today’s show. They also discuss three of the biggest box office draws of the 1970s who are here in action in 1975 in the AWA, Superstar Billy Graham, Dusty Rhodes and Andre the Giant. They cover the great tag teams as well besides Dusty and Graham, they talk about the AWA World Tag Champs, Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens and their manager, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. 1975 is also the year, Gagne decides its time to pass the torch to Bockwinkel, but George shares a story that it was originally planned for much earlier, its a part of the discussion in the show. Lots of Personalities, Towns and Buildings with George Schire and the AWA in the year 1975! *Video production by Time Tunnel Podcast Producer, Jake Hamar
