The new year begs to be resolutioned and goal set. But what if you didn't? Or felt like you couldn't? How do you know where to even start?
All goals are not created equal, and your season of life (and I don't mean your age or state in life...I mean are you in a Spring? Or a winter? Perhaps a summer? and if you don't know, then go back and listen to episode 27!) determines what makes the most sense in how to approach 2023.
This is the beginning of a series on starting the year well so that you end the year as the person you want to become, but it includes my number one suggestion for what to do if you are only going to do one thing. This one step will make all the difference!
So I promise I have a whole timely series for you on goals, types of goals based on your season, choosing a word for the year, and how to orient yourself toward the will of God this year to grow in your relationship with Him.
Buuuuuuuut, I got a little inspiration and took a little minute to share it with you. I'm probably going to get in trouble with my producer because I didn't send this over and there's no intro or music or anything fancy pants, but that just means I really wanted you to hear it.
When you're struggling, being told to practice gratitude can kinda make you want to punch someone in the face. I'm sorry, but it can. But do me a favor. Unclench your fist and just give me a second...or like 10 mins. I've got you <3
We've all said it before, "I just have a lot on my plate" or "I can't add anything to my plate right now". We know there's too much and not discretely roll our eyes when someone says we need to destress and relax more. Yeah right.
Welcome to Part Three in this series on Seasons. We've talked about what the seasons are and how we need to stop saying this is just a busy season or a hard season, and start to look at what God has to show us, teach us, and love us through, even when we're struggling. This episode will take you through a new way to look at the "big rocks" in your life, and how to orient yourself towards God's will versus just an assessments of our talents in life.
Please share what blesses you in this series....both with me and with a friend. Have you ever had someone say they heard something and you came to mind? It always feels good to be thought of. When you share this podcast with someone in your life, you are passing that feeling on to them as well, knowing that you cared enough to think of them and share what you thought would bless them.
Know that I am praying for you! Please pray for me as well!

God spoke and it was created. When you were loved into existence on purpose, with purpose, and for purpose it certainly wasn't so you could be perpetually stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted, just hoping you make it to the mythical time of being less busy.
Today, we're kicking off a three part series on seasons of life. What season do you feel like you're in, and the danger of saying "it's just a busy/hard/stressful season, it'll be over soon."
When the sermon at church and the book I'm reading for Personal Development line up, God is at work and you benefit! Guys, you cannot escape pruning. It's necessary. All you can do is decide your perspective about being pruned. I'm excited to share some thoughts with you about your beautiful role in the process. You are the Tomato!!
We love to serve. It fills us and makes us feel needed...and it's a good thing. But have you ever been at a point where you were no longer serving out of love, but out of obligation or duty? Or even more...with some resentment or bitterness? It happens when you try to exhale forever. Today we're going to talk about why you can't do either. I'm so glad you're here! <3
What if it really was that easy? Four simple steps to bring you out of feeling panicked and out of control. Well, I've got them for you today. Make sure you take notes and share what you learn with someone you love <3
Welcome to Season Two! I've missed you! Today we are going to dive right in and talk about Light and Darkness. How much darkness does it take to snuff out the light? And how much light does it take to push back the darkness? More importantly, what do you do when you find yourself in the darkness and you can't see your way?
Let's dig in!
We've all done it. We've all said it. "I know I need to...." and yet it's not happening. So what do we do? Today I'm going to show you what is past "I know" and gets us to "I'm doing it!"

And once you figure out which, everything changes. Once you understand which two you value most, everything changes. I'm here to show you how I went from spiraling into darkness every time something went wrong, to honestly looking over the problem to the solution on the other side. That doesn't mean I'm never sad and never struggle, it means I recover faster than ever, and I have learned to recognize the negative thoughts on their way in so I can handle them and teach you how to do the same!

Friends, don't just make lemonade. Frankly, don't even decide right away if a situation is good or bad. That doesn't serve you as much as looking for the golden thread of grace throughout your story.
