Seeing Dreams Realized with Catch The Wave
Chad Dedmon - Catch the Wave. The joy of Intercession. In the winter of 2016 Chad received a dream from the Lord, where He was paddle boarding and praying at Big Sur. It was in this dream, that the Lord audibly told him to come out of the cave and tell people that he is an intercessor. Chad and his team dropped everything to say yes to this call to paddle board the coast of CA and intercede. And it’s now expanding to the nations. Catch the Wave just so happens to be coming to Denver. I love how they describe their community as a group of trail blazers who say yes to seeing dreams realized! (Remember my life verse? Eph 3:20 GIVES us permission to dream God size dreams!) Chad and his wife Julia have been married over 15 years, have 2 beautiful children. Ordained through Iris Global, Heidi and Rolland Baker’s ministry and Bethel Church, Chad and Julie have enjoyed ministering together in over 35 nations since 2006. Catch the Wave focuses on equipping the church on encountering Jesus through worship, prayer, and evangelism. Their School of intercession drives in the value that “Everything centers on intimacy with Jesus!” Today’s time with Chad is FULL of incredible stories, heart-wrenching challenges and incredible breakthrough moments. The time today I just believe is authored by Jesus so I pray you will embrace what could be a life-changing word for you today. I’m beyond stoked to connect with Chad on this week’s podcast, so if you’re ready for it why don’t you pull up a chair, grab that cup of coffee and dive in with us to the places between….. Dustin Tavella - Making the Impossible Possible Through Storytelling
There’s something cool about the way our stories unfold when we offer what we have openly to be used however God sees fit. Whether it's a gift or a calling, perhaps it’s a talent or a treasure. It’s like God has such a unique way of calling us into what he knows we’ve been designed to do and then taking us along the journey and process to get there we never knew we needed. Dustin Tavella is a world-class performer. He is the winner of the hit competition show America's Got Talent. Dustin was crowned champion for his magic performances alongside his ability to inspire audiences through storytelling. The platform gave him the ability to show the world how personal connection is something we, as humans, long for. Dustin does not just share ideologies, but he shares experience. For 20 years, Dustin has devoted himself to serving the world around him. He has worked with youth, those struggling with drug addiction, and also with the homeless. Dustin's angle on how to make an impact is incredibly unique and his approach to finding magic in everything that life throws our way is both simple and transformational. I’m so thrilled to have had the opportunity to connect with Dustin, hear more of his story and perspective on how he and his wife do life beyond the stage. The way they seek to love people, love God and show up for what he’s inviting them into is beautiful and I just believe you will also be encouraged today! Looking back on your own journey, you’ll be encouraged that God is entirely faithful and like Dustin, he will use even the unexpected ways ultimately for your good. The Places Between
He Ain’t Finished With You! Choosing a New Story
When you know you’re called to more it can be challenging to be in the places between especially when you have that “life plan” mapped out. I’ve been talking a lot with friends and family recently about the tension of living with EXPECTANCY of God to move and having hope filled expectations, but not living with specific expectations of what the answers look like. There’s such a balance between the two and I’m curious if you have walked through that thought process in life before too? How do we live with great anticipation of hope and all God can do? A number of things but the first thing I believe is surrendering OUR Plan to His(God’s). On today’s show is a new friend who brings wisdom from a journey he THOUGHT he had mapped out and planned only to see it go differently. He has powerful examples of real world examples of how he himself is living for Jesus but also what he does to encourage himself in the process of the unknowns, the limiting beliefs that can often sabotage our futures, and some good words that perhaps YOU need to take home and remember today. Encouraging people there is no such thing as a coincidence but God’s evidence he is always at work, I’m excited for you to hear what John has to share today. John Laub is a faith-based motivational speaker known for delivering powerful and inspiring messages to his audiences. I pray his words of hope and resilience deeply resonate with you today. The Places Between
Reminding Yourself of What’s True
So, If I were honest with most of my life, there's a certain sort of comfortability I live in. But Im still human and occasionally have doubts that try to haunt me and questions and emotions daily still bubble up.... You don’t have to be totally freaked out though…. Remember who you are and whose you are and continue to tell yourself the truth: You are valuable. You are worthy. You have a calling, and you were made for more. He has a plan and is gloriously at work behind the scenes. TRUST HIM. He is good. He is FOR you. He died for you that you might live! Let him be your strength and guide. He wants the best for you, he is FOR you and not against you and has a plan and a purpose! His dreams for you are far beyond what you could ask hope or imagine.... He's given you permission to dream and wants you to thrive! You are Brave! You can get through this, and you are stronger than you think When the uneasyness comes, or the voice in the mirror tells you you're not enough or reasons why you need to be fearful, tell that liar to get behind you.

The Places Between
Corey Russel / When God Calls You to Walk Through the Valley
Wrestling with agonizing grief, and searching to unlock God‘s purposes in suffering is something Corey and his wife, Dana know all too well. As it was said in the forward of his book called Inheritance “when you’re the Lord’s inheritance, everything in life is bathed in divine purpose” If you’re a person of faith, there's no doubt in my mind God has used his word to strengthen your faith. In deeply painful seasons some of you know how much strength one can draw from scriptures when there just doesn’t seem to be words to understand what you’ve been through. Corey and his wife, along with 3 daughters, are still processing the trauma caused by the death of their son! BUT living out the promises of God they’re creating a legacy through Nash’s life too. One of the most beautiful things brought through the suffering this family has walked through is the willingness for Corey to share his story! It’s served to help people in dark nights limping through life’s trials and tribulations looking to God like they need air. Today Corey is using his gift of teaching God’s word, encouraging others in their faith journeys and more. In fact God is raising up an army of intercessors for such a time as this. These prayer warriors are called Nasharites: men and women, young and old, gripped with the spirit of prayer to see revival touch their families, their churches and their cities. I can’t wait for you to hear more of Corey’s story and just honored to share it with you today. https://coreyrussellonline.com/p/nasharites ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  Enjoyed what you heard?!  We love getting 5 star reviews and subscribes when you can! The Places Between
Brittany Park - God’s Faithfulness IN Our Suffering
Part of The Places Between is talking about thriving and learning to thrive while we’re waiting /or transitioning from one season of life to the next! As humans we know what it’s like to wait and for many of us something we really don’t like at all, if we were honest. Waiting is hard. Waiting in the midst of suffering is really hard. Almost unbearable. But there is something beautiful about drawing close to God, or letting him draw near to you in the midst of what seems like a never ending journey of waiting. In the midst of a season that is filled with trials and answers that we’re not sure will ever come, there is an intimacy we can experience with Jesus if we press in and let him draw near. This is Brittany’s story. Its a story of longsuffering and faith in the midst of waiting on a number of things… Her insights and wisdom and authentic voice into some of life’s most challenging moments will encourage your heart today. In the midst of suffering faith and HOPE is pivotal . . . I hope Brittany’s words are just what you need to hear today. Brittany Park has served as a pastor at Remembrance Community Church in the South Bay Area of Los Angeles County since 2012. She is also is an adjunct professor of Biblical Studies at Eternity Bible College. She and her husband Ben live in Lomita, CA with their daughter, Naia.

So MUCH of our culture revolves around dating and relationships, but a crazy amount of people are also SINGLE today, this seems like such a GREAT place in time to talk about THRIVING in singleness… And as this is a podcast about the places between and transitions from one season of life to another, I sadly see SO MANY people get stuck in thinking about yesterday as well as thinking about tomorrow. Today Im excited to dive in again with Ryan Wekenman. He’s a teaching pastor of Red Rocks Austin, a young, vibrant church he helped start with a few of his best friends. He’s also a storyteller who is passionate about finding creative ways to help people explore life’s biggest questions. He’s the co-host of two podcasts, Stories in Scripture, a show that brings the Bible to life for people all around the world, and Afterthoughts, a weekly conversation about faith, culture, and the church AND I’m so thrilled to host him again on the Places Between Podcast. Today we dive into a number of things from relationships, to naming your emotions, even the deadly combo of yesterday and tomorrow. “Yesterday pins us to the floor while tomorrow beats us up” A quote directly from Ryan’s book, Single Today. Ultimately, this is a book about today. It’s about surrendering your future and learning to see this present moment as the gift that it is. For the single person the reminder that the full, abundant life you’re searching for is available while you’re single! (And even the ones in relationships, I know you’re listening… this book can have a profound impact on you too) So as Ryan’ says it: “It’s time to conquer yesterday’s regrets and ditch tomorrow’s worries” lets dive into the conversation around this NEW BOOK: Single Today. The Places Between
Adam French - “That’s a Soul Question”
Once we find out where our limiting beliefs are rooted and start to do the work to heal and really become healthy versions of ourselves a whole new level of living in freedom is possible. On Today’s show I talk with someone who’s not only done the work to find freedom through a journey of healing himself, but he’s helping men (& in turn women they love too) on their own journeys towards freedom. Hunting and running through the woods is a drastically different scene than selling drugs and rubbing shoulders with drug dealers in the inner city. This is the story of Adam French, a story of humble and healthy beginnings, a story of harsh and horrific interruption and a story wrapped in the life changing love of Christ. His Dad’s journey of successful business owner to violent alcoholic coincides with his mother’s struggle of a successful teacher to pill addict. Somewhere in the middle of their stories is a scared little boy, curious pre-teen, broken teenager and a wounded man. For the past 17yrs Adam has been on a journey of healing. What if you had healing over addiction, anxiety, trauma or anger in your life? Imagine living in peace without struggles plaguing your life. Adam draws from his counseling degree, bible college education, decades of personal recovery and pastoral experience to create an onramp in his book, MANdentity, for men seeking help in their marriages, addictions, traumas, broken relationships and everyday struggles. MANdentity is designed for any man with any struggle to find healing. It’s purposely written to be simple and direct, so that every man can heal by working through this book. All men have wounds. The MANdentity book intends to heal them. Today, Adam travels the country sharing the redemptive story of Grace that Jesus brought to his life through his personal journey to MANdentity. He is a motivational speaker who encourages others to live out their faith. You will be challenged, motivated and encouraged by his teaching. The Places Between
Be encouraged: He’s working! It's a wrap on Season 3!
This week I wanted to share some clips and highlights of guests in Season 3! As guests shared their stories and testimonies of God’s work and sovereign hand in their lives, we got to hear countless stories of the miraculous, things that only God could have done in moments of desperation, waiting, trials and more. With EACH Guest and story we were encouraged that God is entirely faithful, and despite the wildness so many of us have walked through, we really can have hope that he sees us, he knows exactly what we need, he works ALL things together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose and he really does LOVE AND WANT The best for us. I continue to be reminded God FAITHFULLY WORKS behind the scenes, truth ALWAYS prevails, he IS the GOD of rescue and redemption AND despite the timing we think he needs to show up in, he is RIGHT ON TIME!!! And he will continue to work behind the scenes to show up and show off! If anything over the last year I too have been encouraged that God is entirely possible of the impossible and NO THING is too hard for him! From financial provision AND projects being funded to dreams of going overseas and becoming a missionary on purpose for Him! Today’s story is one full of twists and turns and journeying through life’s up & downs WITH God, in the midst of a bunch of transitions, changes, navigating moves internationally, hearing from God, walking with him in the hard seasons and even being open to new adventures with him. Today I’m excited to share more about David’s story as I believe a LOT of what he’s been through, from hiking moments and real life struggles to encountering God in unlikely ways, even talking through some of his childhood and things that has shaped who he is today, even things he’s survived and using where he’s at now to bring hope and freedom to others, that you as a listener might be encouraged by. Elijah Waters - Do You Want Comfort or A Calling?
I couldn’t be more excited to share an encouraging story and conversation with Elijah Waters with you today. As we dive into the conversation, you’ll discover a theme throughout his story. When calling trumps comfort then and only then can God move. He’s a pastor, communicator, songwriter, and musician. He has been preaching for 25 years and served many different roles within the church. His transparent and dynamic communication style have made him a sought after speaker and he has traveled the world speaking in various capacities. He has a passion to tell the story and good news of Jesus and see God do miracles that will transform people’s lives. He also happens to be an incredible worship leader using his very story to bring music to life and lead people into their own revelations of God’s goodness and hope. Elijah was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and now resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Annemarie, and his four children. He is currently serving as a pastor at Churchome with Judah and Chelsea Smith. On his days off, you will find him running or riding his bicycle along the beaches of Southern California and staying active with his family. On this week’s episode we talk through Elijah’s story but also on the promises of God. When we can reflect on ALL he has brought us through, it becomes a game changer. I’m praying as you tune in this week that wherever you’re at, you’re reminded of God’s goodness and faithfulness in your story and you, with open hands, can walk into a season that welcomes the new! https://www.elijahwaters.co/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtEI3EuO9M7TJEkJl_t4Ytw I’m SO THRILLED for the opportunity to dive in with Elijah today and just believe his story will bless you! The Places Between
Frank D Murphy on Sacrifice and Second Chances
What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? For many of us there will be or have been cross-roads in our lives where we will get to choose a direction that could forever impact the trajectory of our lives! The question is, will we be swayed by the culture or things we’re surrounded by or press in to get the bigger picture and purpose over our lives from God? On today’s show I had the honor of sitting down with Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer wide receiver, Frank D. Murphy. Having been through so much life and lessons learned he shares his testimony the highs and lows of a journey that unfortunately had him in some pretty rough places and yet STILL was given opportunities to succeed and ultimately walk into real purpose beyond what he thought possible, all because of some incredible second chances and faith filled people God strategically used in his life along the way. We talk about limiting beliefs, fake IDs, purpose, calling and more. In Frank’s ministry, he uses his football career to draw from, as he imparts lessons he’s learned in the NFL and along the way through programs, digital curriculums, Life coaching and speaking to help athletes and youth make better decisions. As founder of Mentoring with Purpose Charity, He’s been coaching all ages to be better leaders and role models in their locker rooms, their communities, and in their lives. Having received multiple awards from the Key to the City of Callahan. Florida, The Lifetime Achievement Award*recognizing his community service, Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero Award, and the Most Valuable Philanthropist in Sports Award. He holds an Honorary doctoring for humanitarians* degree AND has authored The Man Behind the Helmet, a real-life story of sacrifice and second chances. Jason Chin - Love Says Go
When you think back to your faith journey today can you recall the times you were deeply encouraged in a season you truly needed to be? For me that’s how this ministry friendship began and I’m also here to tell you that God will speak through his word, his people and circumstances to get your attention. Months ago I was so excited to dive into a global ministry community called Love Says Go and really had NO idea how God would use this ministry in my life, let alone how the ministry would be impacting others! It was a total deep dive into all the incredible things they’re doing and part of and I just love how God is using this ministry, Jason and his wife Debbie today. I’m excited to dive into a conversation with Founder of the Love Says Go Community, Jason Chin. “Love Says Go has brought Holy Spirit equipping to over 100,000 believers from 60+ nations to share their faith in power. And Jason along with his wife Debbie want to help you do the same!” If you’ve ever wondered if God could speak to you directly, how he moves in the miraculous or if signs and wonders of his presence are alive and active today let this podcast encourage you this week that GOD DOES MOVE, He speaks through his people (to encourage others, not just me) and he is still healing bodies, hearts and minds today. Being part of what he’s doing is what Love Says Go is all about and I cannot WAIT to dive into this conversation with Jason, today, as I just know it will encourage you and hopefully give you the faith (and courage) to believe ANYTHING is possible with God in your life and connected to his Holy Spirit. B.Haley - Powered By Love
Have you ever thought of what you could do if you had a vision to change the world just through loving people as Jesus would? Putting all things aside, the worries, the cares about finances, what job you’re called to or even where to live. . . ALL of that stuff DEEPLY matters to Jesus of course he wants you to get where you want to get more than anyone else. He’s always at work behind the scenes within our lives to direct our paths but also give us opportunities to be his hands and feet to others… and I believe it’s his LOVE that will lead someone into being forward transformed and changed. B.Haley, former drummer for TobyMac and the DiverseCity band, is a visionary on a mission to unite the world through love. His journey from the streets of St. Louis to the stages of Christian music has been marked by a profound transformation. Seeing the lives of others impacted by Jesus it was during his time with TobyMac and the Diverse City band that God gave B a vision that he wasn’t able to shake. A vision for our world to live united and come together. As challenging as that feels for today’s society post covid, this vision is bigger than the division the enemy wants us to buy into: To put down the many differences that divide us and pick up the one thing that unites us—LOVE. *but not just any love. It’s Jesus’ love that will grab someone’s heart and transform a life. Armed with a blazing passion to make this world a better place through unity, the We Are 1 Movement was birthed. Now, as the founder of the We Are 1 Movement, B emphasizes unity and service as pathways to change. Powered by Love We can do more together than we could ever do alone. B is a father of four, he combines personal anecdotes with a dynamic speaking style, inspiring audiences in business, communities, and families to embrace a life of purpose and connection. Luke Palasz - From Striving to Thriving!
Have you ever been in a season where you question where God is, what he’s doing and/or if he even cares? My new friend Luke lived a pretty long journey of faith through his dad’s battle with MS but in the process of growing in his own walk with God he learned what it was like to KNOW God personally, hear from him, get revelations from him, even words of encouragement and knowledge for others. What started with discovering a video of Disneyland miracles through a ministry called Love Says Go with Jason Chin while he was a student at Hillsong in Australia, became a lifetime journey of pursuing and experiencing God on a deeper level and I just believe you and I can too. Luke Palasz, a Husband to Hannah, a Father to three boys; Leo, Eli, and Luca. He works for Love Says Go Ministries as a Project Manager whilst being in the arbor culture industry as a tree climber. Pedro LaTorre - The Middle Seat Moments of Life
So much of today’s conversation points to evidence of the way God moves in, and through, our stories when we choose to walk into places and spaces he calls us to. Challenged with the thought going forward from today’s conversation as well; “How many times can we say we’re walking into situations in life where God has our full attention? And where we’re living in a place of feeling the peace and lightness that Jesus offers?” I’ve done this moments before, but I can additionally say I want to do this more actively going forward and think you might want to as well after you hear today’s conversation with Pedro. Perhaps our calling isn’t about WHAT we do but where we are, who we are to be and how we travel light in life? Pedro LaTorre serves as Founder & CEO of Brave Work, which empowers humans to discover, enjoy, and sustain their purpose. His live event speaking and creative approach to consulting has financially fueled organizations like Compassion International, charity: water, Find Rest, Ride Nature, and many others. He offers several workshops, video courses, and coaching opportunities. In addition, he is the author of 'The Middle Seat, Stop Craving Platforms and Start Loving People.' He lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two children. You can find his podcast, videos, and more by visiting www.pedrolatorre.com. With that said I cannot WAIT to dive into today’s conversation with Pedro, so if you’re ready for it, why dont you pull up a chair, grab that cup of coffee, and dive in with us to the places between. Lauren Labat: Living Out a Call to Maui!
I just love how God leads us through our journeys and stuff. By that I mean when we’re really going through it, and we take the opportunity to be authentic and vulnerable before him, He really does have a grace for that and oftentimes will speak his heart back to us when we’re listening. Today’s conversation reminded me that oftentimes on paper things won’t make sense but when you’re following the peace HE offers in the journey, while the world may be shouting at you one thing, it will be the peace he leads you with that covers everything whether it makes sense or not. Lauren Labat is a dear friend from years back and funny enough we have quite the history of fun interactions. From Basketball Maui to cheering her on in her recent and epic global adventures with YWAM, it’s been a joy to watch from a distance the journey and adventurous life she has while also intersecting at points along our journey where we could often relate to the deep hopes and desires on our heart of wanting to impact the world for Jesus and hold a space for love and relationships to come. I’m so excited to have Lauren share more of her story with you today. She talks all about her new adventure with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and her love of Maui, where she calls home, too. Her desire is to see revival in the islands and she believe that God wants to meet people and give them a hope and a future and she’s using her call to missions right in Hawaii to be a light right where he’s called her. In our time today she has some really amazing and sweet stories and moments to share that will encourage you in your journey too, so why don’t you pull up a chair, grab that cup of coffee and dive in with us to… the places between! Lauren Labat is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes - Central Maui Area Rep Lauren is a former collegiate basketball player who has directed local sports ministry non-profits and has been coaching and teaching athletes since 2008. Her sport missions’ journey began in 2008 when she joined Crossover International out of Denver, Colorado. Through Crossover, she was part of a team who traveled to European countries to put on basketball camps and preach the gospel. Serving with them until 2011 where she worked with Kids Across America as well as inner city sports camp in Branson, Missouri, it was soon after that her journey led her to Maui, Hawaii in 2013 where she became the Camp Director of BasketballMAUI for the following 7 years. As her journey ended with BasketballMAUI in 2020, even though she stepped out of sports missions full time, she served as a logistic coordinator for a docu series called Playing for Eternity (Angel Studios). Her playing, coaching, and director experiences have allowed her to confidently step into this next season with FCA and trust that God is moving in the area of Central Maui. Lauren’s desire is to see revival in the islands and she believes that God wants to meet people and give them a hope and a future. “Hawaii is a special place that is dear to my heart. After living here for 10 years I consider Maui home and know much of our community. The local community has allowed me to become a part of their Ohana and I believe the impact we can have in our area will be greater than we could imagine. I am grateful to build a team that brings the Word and Gospel of Jesus Christ to these kids and families daily. I am trusting that God cares for these people and wants to see many come to salvation in Jesus Christ and to grow as His disciples. Overall, I am grateful for this calling and believe that God saves. Mahalo” - Lauren Join Lauren in this next season of life as she raises support for her ministry and gets to serve numerous people through your gift today. Her Monthly goal is $9,000/month but can easily be met with just 45 people giving $200/month or 12 giving $750/month.
