Prof. Tony Padilla (yes, the one from YouTube) is our star guest this week! We get a glimpse of Tony's new book that is coming out very soon called "Fantastic Numbers and Where to Find Them: A Cosmic Quest from Zero to Infinity". Tony also talks about his SixtySymbols ventures and how impoortant outreach, especially in the wake of vaccine misinfomtation, is to the public. We also disussed the ongoing fight for education and the the recent announcment of strikes by the University and College Union (UCU) who are trade union in further and higher education representing over 120,000 academics and support staff.

Dr. Elena Boto & David Woolger - Cerca Magnetics - MEG, Business and Electric Cars

We get down to business 👩‍💼 and talk all things commercial MEG from Nottingham's latest start-up company Cerca Magnetics Limited 🚀 

Elena Boto is a co-founder and Cerca’s chief technology officer. Elena has been working with next-generation human imaging since 2014. Originally trained in physics at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and has a PhD in Physics from UoN. She also has an Instagram page for her wonderful rescue dog 🐕 - rocky.the.rommie.rescue

Cerca is led by David Woolger. David is an experienced business leader. Prior to this David worked at Deloitte as Management Consultant for 9 years. He is a CIMA qualified accountant, and his standing in the UK quantum technologies community is well recognised, for example by his membership of the UK Quantum ATEP Board.
