124 | Hidden Emotions Behind Disorganization: 3 Questions to Help You Release Clutter
For the full transcript, notes, links, and more, go to:  https://simplysquaredaway.com/124 What Emotions Are Hiding Behind Your Clutter? Do you ever look around at your clutter and feel a wave of guilt, sadness, or just… stuck? You're not alone. In part three of our four-part series, The Real Cost of Disorganization, we’re digging into the emotional roots of clutter, and it might get a little personal. Because let’s be honest: disorganization usually isn’t about laziness, lack of time, or not knowing where to start. It’s about what the stuff means to us. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from my own clients, a hoarding specialist, and my personal experience to help you uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface. This episode is gentle, powerful, and honestly, might be the moment everything clicks. We’ll explore: How grief, guilt, shame, and perfectionism sneak into our closets, drawers, and digital clutter. Why clutter is often your brain’s protective mechanism. What your space might be trying to tell you. And how to finally move forward with peace, not pressure. I’ll walk you through a 3-step process to begin releasing the emotional weight behind your clutter. It’s simple, powerful, and something you can do right away, no bins, no fancy labels, just real emotional clarity. What you’ll learn: Why your clutter might actually be grief, shame, or fear in disguise. The surprising connection between trauma and disorganization. How to spot emotional roots like guilt, perfectionism, or control. The 3-step method to identify and release emotional clutter. Name the Emotion. Switch from judgment to curiosity using questions like: What is this space trying to tell me? What story is this clutter holding? What part of me is it protecting? What season of life is this tied to? Choose one compassionate action to take (and what that might look like). Like, your brain knows a tidy digital system would save time and stress... but you’re too mentally fried to even think about where to start? In this second episode of my four-part series on “The Real Cost of Disorganization,” we go deeper into why you still haven’t gotten started—even after shifting your mindset from episode one. If overwhelm, distractions, or decision fatigue have you stuck, I want you to know: you’re not broken, you’re just overloaded. And this episode is your permission slip to take small, doable steps toward order (without the shame spiral). I’ll walk you through four super simple strategies to finally get out of stuck mode, even when the idea of “getting organized” feels like a mountain you don’t have the energy to climb. For the full transcript, notes, links, and more, go to:  https://simplysquaredaway.com/122 This episode kicks off a powerful 4-part series I'm calling The Real Cost of Disorganization. You know disorganization costs you time and money (remember Ep. 120?), but there’s something even deeper, something sneakier at play. It’s your stories. The stories you believe about yourself… about your clutter… about what it all means. They’re keeping you stuck, overwhelmed, and maybe even avoiding that one drawer (you know the one). In this episode, I read real, raw answers from listeners who replied to my email asking: What’s holding you back from getting organized? From shame to avoidance to ADHD and more, these stories are universal. But they're also changeable. And I’ll show you how. You're not lazy. You’re just believing a story. Tune in to identify your story, find where it’s keeping you stuck, and hear tangible ways to start rewriting it. This episode is part 1 in the series. Stay tuned each week as we unpack the emotional, mental, and financial cost of disorganization—and the freedom that comes when you get organized. What You’ll Learn: Why disorganization is more than just clutter How guilt, shame, and avoidance sabotage your progress What neuroscience says about your brain’s “avoidance mode” Why being stuck can feel “safe” (but is secretly draining you) How to rewrite your story so you can take powerful action A mindset reframe that helps ADHD brains get organized How decluttering could actually give you more energy (what!?) 121 | Overwhelmed? How to Build Your Ideal Week with Anna Dearmon Kornick
Are you making time management harder than it needs to be? If your calendar looks like a cluttered junk drawer, jammed full of urgent to-dos and last-minute chaos, this episode is for you. I sat down with Anna Dearman Kornick, time management coach and author of Time Management Essentials, to unpack how to actually manage your time in a way that feels aligned, flexible, and realistic. Anna's background is fascinating: from orchestrating a US Congressman’s minute-by-minute schedule (even his wife had to book time with her!) to guiding universities through PR disasters—she's the queen of managing chaos. Today, she helps ambitious professionals like you figure out how to run your schedule on your terms, instead of feeling like you’re always behind. We cover everything from navigating overwhelm to creating an “ideal week” that prioritizes what matters most, without the guilt trip. Get ready to shift your mindset around time management, learn how to build routines that actually work for you, and finally stop letting all the pebbles crowd out your big rocks. What you’ll learn: Why your calendar might look organized but still be a total disaster (and how to fix it) The difference between boulders, big rocks, and pebbles, and how to plan your week around them Anna’s surprisingly gentle approach to morning routines (no 5 AM sprints required!) How to build “chaos blocks” into your day so you’re prepared for the inevitable curveballs Anna's top tool for staying organized For the full transcript, notes, links, and more, go to:  https://simplysquaredaway.com/121

120 | STOP! Disorganization Is Flat Out Costing You MONEY - Do This
For the full transcript, notes, links, and more, go to:  https://simplysquaredaway.com/120 Book your complimentary consult call today! https://simplysquaredaway.com/appointments Disorganization IS stealing money from your business! Ever thought, “Eh, being organized isn’t that big of a deal”?Spoiler: It’s probably costing you thousands. Or more! In this episode, I’m cutting straight to it with a bold (and maybe uncomfortable) truth: your disorganization is flat out costing you money, and more than you think. I’m sharing a story of a sweet colleague who said, “Tracy, I don’t care about finding files in seconds. I care about making money.” She is so right. I needed this reminder. But here’s the kicker: the only way you make more money is by NOT wasting time hunting for stuff, fixing mistakes, and letting opportunities slip because your backend’s a hot mess. You make more money by prioritizing money-producing actions, executing an organized calendar, following the most efficient systems easily, finding things you need in seconds, and knowing you can confidently run (and scale!) your organized business.  We’re diving into the five hidden ways disorganization is bleeding your business dry, from wasted hours to missed sales. I’m also sharing what to do instead, so you can finally scale, sign more clients, and (yes!) actually enjoy that freedom you started your business for. If you’re tired of your business being duct-taped together, this one’s for you. What you’ll learn: Why wasting time searching for files is literally throwing money away (I do the math for you!) How being reactive instead of proactive means your competitors get your clients (Yikes) The reason messy systems make you look (and feel) less trustworthy, and cost sales Why you’ll hit a ceiling fast without streamlined systems The sneaky ways disorganization is draining your profits on tools, contractors, and mistakes The simplest first steps to get organized for real revenue growth

119 | The Simple CEO Week System to Organize Your Whole Business with Holly Haynes
Is your calendar a mess? Are you running out of time to accomplish the most important tasks? If you ever feel like your week is one giant scramble of client calls, last-minute tasks, tending to fires, and wondering what the heck you’re supposed to be doing next...you’re going to LOVE this episode. I brought on Holly Haynes, a 7-figure business owner, productivity expert, and queen of batching, to break down exactly how she built her wildly successful business working only 8-10 hours a week (yep, seriously). She shares her signature CEO Week framework, how to create theme days, and why you absolutely need a “creative block” in your schedule. We also dug into: How Holly went from working a corporate job with twins in kindergarten to building a 7-figure business in just 5 years. The simple formula of CEO Week: theme days + a creative block + a CEO day. What happens when your tasks spill over into other days (hint: it’s not the end of the world). The most common resistance people have when trying to implement theme days, and how to overcome it. Why your business should feel a little boring if it’s working right (yup). How she strategically added team members to shrink her calendar, not stretch it. Simple ways she plans her days to avoid feeling scattered and overwhelmed. I also share where the resistance that comes up, and where I realized my boundaries had shifted, and how I was inspired to make changes. 118 | 10 Things You Don’t Know About Getting Organized (But Should!)
This week, I’m pulling back the curtain with a personal update (yes, sweaty palms and all) and diving into a topic I love, but one that might just flip your organizing assumptions on their head. After a dreamy trip to NYC with my daughter and gearing up for a summer full of lake days and mastermind meetups, I’m sharing ten unexpected truths about getting organized that most people never talk about. Spoiler alert: if you’re spending hours digging for files, jumping between tools, or feeling major business burnout, this is a sign! You’re not broken, you’re just disorganized. Let’s fix that. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why being “perfectly organized” is NOT the goal (and what is) The real cost of digital clutter—hint: it’s time, and it affects everything How systems = freedom (and not prison) The one thing you must do before hiring help Why your brain is not a filing cabinet and what to use instead How to treat organizing like a practice, after the project Why DIYing your organization is holding you back How being organized is a form of self-respect (YES, it is) For the full post, links, and resources, go to --> https://simplysquaredaway.com/118

Are you delighting in your business or just checking boxes? We’re halfway through 2025 (yep, already), and if you’re like me, you might be feeling the pressure of those January or Q2 goals whispering, “So... how’s that going?” In this episode, I’m slowing things down to share something that hit me on a four-mile walk in total silence (no podcasts, no audiobooks... just me and the Lord). It was this: Delight. What would change in your business, or your life, if you focused less on fixing and more on delighting? If you celebrated the email you cleared, the system you created, the connection you made, instead of shaming yourself for not doing more? I tell the story of a spontaneous fast with my church group, how delight showed up on a walk, and why we as coaches need to tap into this delicious delight more often. (Shoutout to Laura!) We’re talking about delighting in the imperfect, the small wins, the unplanned connections, and even the digital decluttering process - yes, even THAT can be delightful. What you’ll learn in this episode: A sweet story from my Women to Women group (and why it led to a silent walk) What “delighting” even looks like in your organizing journey How I’m finding joy in visibility and new connections this year The surprising delight in reviewing old digital freebies and files How to shift from self-judgment to self-celebration Creative ways to over-celebrate your organizing wins How delight builds momentum in your organizing and your biz ➡️ Book a call with me to find out what you need to reach your organizing goals: https://simplysquaredaway.com/appointments ➡️ Doors are open to Organized Life Academy! 111 | Overwhelmed? Do Less and Set Boundaries using a To-Don’t List with Michelle Gauthier
If you’ve ever thought, “I’m doing too much and still not getting the results I want,” this episode will hit home hard. Michelle Gauthier—life coach for overwhelmed working women—joins me for an honest, funny, and energizing convo about what it takes to stop the hustle and start living and working from a place of peace. We bonded over our love of organization and our eerily similar life paths (living in the same three states, fate, and a whole lot of serendipity!). Michelle shares the story of her leap from corporate life into coaching, how she built belief in herself from scratch, and the systems she uses to help women achieve more by doing less. We dive into the life-changing power of creating a "To-Don’t List,” setting boundaries like a boss, and making business decisions that actually support your life—not steal from it. 109 | Million Dollar Lessons, Systems, and Mindset Shifts with Debbie Shadid
Ever wonder what’s really happening behind the scenes of a coach who’s scaling toward a million dollars? In this episode, Debbie Shadid shares the real story—no sugarcoating, no "just work 10 hours a week and it'll happen" myths.  We talk about how she built her business from the ground up (before digital ads even existed!), what she’s had to rework to hit her next goals, and why it’s not about finding the “perfect” automation—it’s about showing up, building skills, and doing the work. Debbie also gets honest about switching industries, embracing tech even when it was hard, and the mental shifts she had to make to stop "dabbling" and step fully into leadership. Plus, she gives practical advice for how YOU can start thinking about your business like a brick-and-mortar boutique—and why that mindset will change everything. Here’s what we dive into: Debbie’s journey from publishing to coaching—and why her skills translated perfectly Why success takes more than a certification (hint: it’s sales, baby) The radical decision that changed everything in her business How to build systems BEFORE you think you’re ready Why a boutique mindset will totally change how you show up The real truth about working "easy" hours vs. working hard What it actually takes to make a million dollars For all the notes, links, and more, go to:  https://simplysquaredaway.com/109

105 | Building a Business That Supports Creativity with Laurie Smith
Have you ever felt like your creativity thrives—but your systems are falling apart behind the scenes? 😬 If so, you are going to LOVE this conversation with my past one-on-one coaching client, Laurie Smith. Laurie is an author, a workshop leader, and a fierce advocate for flow. She lights up when she talks about creativity—but struggled behind the scenes to organize her growing business, especially as she landed a book deal with a major publisher (hello, Hay House!). In this episode, Laurie gets real about what it’s like to run a creative business that’s scaling fast—and how disorganization was costing her more than just time. We talk about the emotional impact of digital clutter, the power of honoring how you're wired (instead of fighting it), and how she shifted into a CEO mindset… complete with a sticky-note wall, a customized bookmarks bar, and a little Beyoncé alter ego energy.  Get ready for a warm, honest, and super-inspiring conversation that’ll make you want to spend the weekend organizing your bookmarks—and maybe your life. What you'll hear in this episode: How Laurie knew it was time to invest in organization for business growth and how it impacted her creativity The surprising link between being organized and helping people feel safe Laurie’s “book baby” metaphor—and how she wanted to prepare for her third "child" Why the ability to find things is more important than having a Pinterest-perfect system What happened when she started building systems her way (she carried herself differently is one thing) The mindset shift that helped her stop judging herself for how she works Post-it walls, branding audits, and CEO alter egos (we cover it ALL) For the notes, links, and more, go to:  https://simplysquaredaway.com/105
