The Open Sketchbook | Making Art Publicly + Interviewing Accomplished Creatives

The Open Sketchbook is a show for anyone who wants to be a little more creative. A try-hard named Zach hosts the show and it and contains short-form audio narrative episodes (in the odd-numbered seasons) and interviews with accomplished creatives (in the even-numbered seasons). Zach created the narrative shorts as a part of Reese’s Hoppers first Creative Consistency Challenge class, where each person in the group committed to creating a small, complete piece of art every day for more than two weeks. That experience was transformative and Zach posted the shorts as a podcast, and later decided to use it as an excuse to interview accomplished creatives about their own creative processes.
