Being a professional DJ isn’t so easy! As one of the pillars of hip hop, DJs are essential to the culture through the music and mixes they create.This episode gives a voice to the DJs behind the turntables and allows us to take a peek inside their world. Mike Caringal, otherwise known as “DJ Mike Checkk” is a hip-hop dancer turned DJ instructor for the Academy of DJs in Orange County. He also is pursuing a career in physical therapy and hopes to impact they way DJs view and take care of their bodies.
