The Nicola Moras Show
The "I know this" curse - and what to do about it
Let’s be honest… most people don’t need more information. What they need is the guts to implement it. In this episode, I’m pulling apart one of the biggest roadblocks I see in high-level entrepreneurs and experts: the “I know this already” mindset. It shows up everywhere... from business trainings to personal development events to team meetings and strategy calls and it’s costing people growth, income, and impact. I talk about: * What actually happens when you think you know something, but still aren’t doing it * Why “I know this” is often code for fear, burnout, or lack of commitment * How to reset your mindset and show up to every opportunity with a powerful blank-slate energy * The truth about personalisation and why strategy only works when you tailor it to YOU * My personal lessons from roller derby, keynote speaker school, and Unleash the Power Within If you’ve been wondering why you’re not seeing the results you say you want, this is your gut-check moment. Because learning isn’t enough. Insight isn’t action. And you don’t get to claim “expert” status if you’re not walking the talk. Come into this one with a mindset of curiosity and let’s find the thing that will actually move the needle for you. www.nicolamoras.com.au

It’s Not Your Business What They Think of You
So many of us hold ourselves back, not because we don’t have the skills, the smarts, or the strategy, but because we’re afraid of what people might think. In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes to one of my most uncomfortable “visibility” moments...getting completely humiliated in a training room and battling the inner voice that told me I wasn’t stylish, bold, or “enough” to wear the damn boots I’d packed. Spoiler alert: I wore the boots anyway. Here’s what we’re talking about: * Why it's completely normal to link new concepts to familiar ideas—and how that actually supports learning and confidence * The wild stories we make up about how we’ll be judged (and how to rewrite them) * The real reason people hesitate to show up, speak up, and step out—and how to overcome it * A mantra that changed everything for me: “It’s not my business what anyone else thinks of me.” * How to move through fear, stay curious, and keep showing up—even when you feel like a human pretzel Whether you’re holding back on launching something bold, booking that photoshoot, applying for the role, or simply showing up more visibly in your brand, this episode is your permission slip to stop playing small. Because let’s be honest… you can’t be unforgettable if you’re trying to blend in. www.nicolamoras.com.au

What to Do When the Drive Disappears: Momentum, Motivation & Burnout
If you’ve ever found yourself lying on the couch thinking, “I should be doing more… but I just can’t,” this episode is for you. In today’s conversation, I’m unpacking what really happens when driven, successful humans hit a dip in motivation—and why it’s often a sign of deeper things like burnout, misalignment, or a shift in purpose. This is something I’ve seen again and again with my clients… and lived myself. I’m walking you through: * The real reason motivation disappears after early success * How to reignite momentum without relying on adrenaline or burnout * Why movement (literal and energetic) is the secret to motivation * The clarity-action loop: why waiting to feel “ready” is holding you back * The hidden link between burnout, boredom, and emotional exhaustion (especially for high-capacity people) Whether you’re in a season of scaling, shifting, or rebuilding your business, this episode will help you understand your patterns, reset your energy, and reconnect with the reason you started in the first place. Because this isn’t just about pushing harder, it’s about aligning smarter, acting with purpose, and building a business that energises you instead of draining you. www.nicolamoras.com.au

Crabs, Energy & Uplevelling: What Really Happens When You’re About to Rise
If you’ve ever made a big decision.. maybe started a new offer, launched a bold idea, pivoted your brand, or gone for that next level, and then suddenly noticed weird energy from the people around you… you are not imagining it. In this episode, I’m talking about what actually happens when you’re on the edge of an uplevel. From personal experience and years of coaching high-performing humans, here’s what I know: the moment your frequency rises, your world reacts. And sometimes, that reaction looks like resistance, sabotage, and people coming out of the woodwork trying to pull you back down. I unpack: * What’s really going on when the people around you start getting weird or unsupportive * Why building your internal armour is non-negotiable as you grow * The energetic truth behind visibility and why some people can’t handle your rise * The “crabs in a bucket” dynamic that shows up when you’re stepping into more influence, more income, or more impact How to hold your ground, protect your energy, and lead anyway This one’s for the experts, coaches, and creators doing visibility on purpose... not for fame, not just for cash, but because you’re here to help people, to create change, and to lead with integrity. Here's your reminder that when the crabs start clawing, you’re probably on the right track. www.nicolamoras.com.au

The 40K Gamble
In this episode, Nicola shares the behind-the-scenes of her first big event - Sales & Marketing Spy School - where she thought she’d completely lost the audience. Blank faces, self-doubt, and a $40K roll of the dice had her questioning everything. But what came next was a reminder every entreprneuer needs: Just because it FEELS off, doesn’t mean it is. You’ll learn why preparation matters, how to bounce back from the inner critic, and why the “boring” stuff you know could be groundbreaking for someone else. If you’ve ever walked off stage or out of a meeting wondering if you tanked, this episode is for you. The world is ready for your brand of awesome. Let’s go.

Your feet know what they're doing
Ever had a day where you were smashing through the to-do list, only to look up and realise you've completely skipped the one thing that keeps you grounded? Same. In this episode, I’m sharing a personal (and slightly chaotic) story about missing my morning walk, hyper-focusing on tasks, and realising I’d completely lost sight of the bigger picture. From roller derby lessons to writing my own eulogy (yep, really), this is your invitation to stop staring at your feet and lift your gaze to where you’re actually heading in life and business. Because your feet already know what to do. It’s your vision that needs a check-in. So... are you walking just to walk, or are you actually heading somewhere that matters? www.nicolaspeaks.com

The Time For Serious Change
You know that moment when something hits you like a freight train and you realise for a FACT that "this can’t go on"? In this episode, I’m sharing a few of those moments. From avoiding an uncomfortable ask to calling out behaviour that crossed the line, and a brutal three-way mirror moment in a London changeroom that left me reeling (and ready to change everything). These weren’t just bumps in the road. They were wake-up calls. And they became the exact fuel I needed to make bold, powerful decisions that shifted my everything. Memory Lane
In this reflective episode, Nicola takes you on a literal and metaphorical detour straight back to her childhood home, where her biggest audience was a paddock full of waving crops. What started as a simple drive turned into a powerful reminder of how our perceptions shape our reality, how childhood dreams plant the seeds of purpose, and why joy matters more than we sometimes realise. If you’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “Is this what I signed up for?” this one is for you. Listen now to explore: * How our memories and reality don’t always line up (and why that’s okay) * Why joy is a non-negotiable when it comes to doing meaningful work * How to reconnect with what you really wanted before the world told you to tone it down A full-circle moment that proves those fence-post performances were never wasted www.nicolamoras.com.au

Self-Doubt & Reinvention What If I Can’t Do This
Have you ever looked back at an old photo or video and thought "Wow who even was that version of me?" I’ve been sitting with that a lot lately and wondering can I really pull off this next big reinvention? In today’s episode of the podcast I’m pulling back the curtain on what it feels like when self doubt hits hard. Even when you’ve got the runs on the board. Even when you know your stuff. The Things That Make You Different
We’re all trying to stand out. Maybe you want a promotion. Maybe you want more clients. Maybe you just want to be recognised for who you really are. But most of us end up following the same script as everyone else, then wonder why we get lost in the crowd. In this episode, I get brutally honest about how to break that cycle and actually get noticed. I talk about what it feels like to think you are nothing special. Maybe you come from a perceived vanilla background. Maybe you believe you do not have a big dramatic story. I share how every moment in your life, every skill you have, every quirk and random talent is exactly what makes you stand out. From performing as a kid, teaching in the cubby house, singing to crops, to always having something to say, it all counts. If you have ever struggled with imposter syndrome or felt invisible, I show you how to claim your strengths, own your story, and see the value in your lived experience. You do not need to shrink yourself. You do not have to play it safe. You are the sum of every lesson, every decision, and every ounce of energy you bring. That is your point of difference. Listen for a real permission slip to be yourself. Step up, own your space, and start doing what only you can do. Your people are out there and they are ready for you. www.nicolamoras.com.au

What do you do when shit hits the fan?
What do you actually do when sh*t hits the fan? In this episode, I’m getting brutally honest about those days (and sometimes weeks) when everything goes sideways, all at once. I walk you through a very real, very recent morning where my anxiety flared up, people problems piled on, and overwhelm threatened to knock me flat. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t pretty, but it was real. You’ll join me on my daily walk through the Adelaide parklands (yes, I really do name the tracks I walk on) as I unpack how I navigate the tangled mess of stress, brain fog, and that all-too-familiar urge to freeze when things go haywire. I share exactly how I’ve learned to get myself unstuck: focusing on the smallest possible wins, sticking to my non-negotiables like walking and planning, and practicing a radical kind of self-kindness. I don’t sugarcoat it. Some days, my best is just ticking a single thing off my list. Honestly? That’s okay. This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re drowning in chaos and can’t see the way out. I’ll show you the real tools and mindset shifts that help me reset, regroup, and keep moving forward, even when the energy and motivation just aren’t there. I’m also sharing my 90-day planner (the one thing that saves my sanity every single time) for free in the show notes. Listen in, grab your next best action, and let’s remember together: you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to keep going. www.nicolamoras.com.au Download the Free Planner here: https://learn.nicolamoras.com.au/plan-it-like-a-boss

Beyond The Reels- Why Stories Still Matter
In this episode, I’m bringing you behind the scenes of life lately—between house moves, beach walks, gym catch-ups, and long-overdue lunches with girlfriends. It’s been a full-on season of transition, but also one rich with connection and unexpected inspiration. A busted-up unicorn shell on the sand sparked a big reminder for me: storytelling matters. Real, raw, grounded storytelling—not the polished, 15-second content that floods our feeds. I’m diving into why I believe storytelling is still the most powerful tool we have for connection and impact. If you’ve been feeling stuck with your content or wondering how to show up in a more meaningful way, this is your nudge. Because transformation doesn’t come from more information—it comes from ignition. And that starts when we tell stories that actually mean something. Ready to shake things up? Hit play, get inspired, and let’s create your brand of unstoppable, rockstar success. The world’s ready for your brand of awesome. www.nicolamoras.com.au

Tantrums, Lashes & The Power of Speaking Up
In this episode, I take you from the lash lounge to the supermarket meltdown aisle—and straight into a truth bomb about self-expression. While lying back getting my lashes done (and silently praying not to leave looking like a spider), I was jolted back to a memory of my daughter’s epic public tantrum. It got me thinking: when did we learn to care so much about what other people think? And more importantly—when did we start shrinking ourselves just to fit in? Let’s get real: too many of us are holding back on sharing what we really think, what we really know, and what we actually want to say. This episode is a call to action to stop squashing your brilliance just to stay palatable. Whether it’s an opinion, a new idea, or that creative spark you've been hiding—say the damn thing. Because when you speak up, you give others permission to do the same… and that ripple? It changes everything.

The Truth About AI and Your Relevance
In this episode, I’m tackling the question that’s got everyone clutching their ergonomic desk chairs: is AI going to make us redundant? Spoiler alert—only if you let it. I get into the guts of what’s really going on with AI across industries and why this moment is your cue to stop blending in and start standing out. Forget panic. This is about power, potential, and plugging into what makes you unforgettable. I dish up some real talk on how AI can either be your excuse… or your amplifier. I’m calling BS on playing it safe and breaking down how to stay wildly relevant by owning your edge, showing up with swagger, and getting seriously skilled. If you’re ready to ditch the doom and channel your inner badass, this one’s for you.

The April 2025 update
If you’ve been wondering who you are without your business, title, or busyness—this episode will hit home. In this first episode of 2025, I’m giving you the raw, real, and reflective update straight from the heart. After a couple of tumultuous years filled with physical healing, injury setbacks, and identity shake-ups, I’m sharing the truth about what it’s like to wonder if you’ll ever make it back to work—and what happens when you stop being defined by your job title. Spoiler: it’s confronting, but wildly freeing. This chat is part pep talk, part soul search, and part kick-in-the-pants reminder that sometimes the breakdown has to come before the breakthrough. I talk about finding joy again, letting go of ego, and building something bold from the ashes—including finally making space for the speaking biz I've always wanted to unleash.

What Makes You Different?
A recurring theme of late is that people are tired of seeing carbon copy after carbon copy of sameness 'out there' when it comes to their industry and the people who are out there marketing themselves and their services. I mean, aren't we all sick and tired of seeing the same boring-ass 'famous people' quotes on pastel backgrounds with thing cursive fonts? Yep. Same. I was chatting with a kickass business woman yesterday about this exact thing. Whilst there may be (maybe at a stretch) a place in the newsfeed for that kind of thing, it gets scrolled past pretty quickly. There's a 2 second - at best - spark of attention and bam, you're gone from their eyeballs and their minds. What does this mean for YOU? Well, it means that we have less time now than ever before to capture attention and to make an impact on someone. It means that you need to be really really clear about what makes you different. It means you have to be innovative and come up with new ways of saying things that your audience needs to hear. It means you're actually going to HAVE TO find a way to articulate your own zone of genius, your own intellectual property (IP) and you're going to have to be more brave than ever before! For me: I do not want to be lumped ok the same bucket as everyone else in this industry. I want to be seen as different. As someone who has experience and tenacity. Catch up on the replay of The Coffee Run (Ep630) today for a bit more of a discussion about that and be sure to let me know your thoughts and what you're working on and even how you're dealing with this. The more we talk about it, the more we are able to help more people. Have a great day and a great week. Chat soon, Nicola 💋⚡️ Remember: It's time. Right now. To get out there.

Scale Up? Scale down? Stay put? The Coffee Run E629
I have been talking with a lot of kickass successful women (and some amazing gents) over the past 6 months about how things are 'out there' at the moment. I know a lot of people have found themselves in a situation where they are wanting more... but they're not necessarily sure what that is. Some are looking at other business owners and admiring their teams, their growth and the size of their businesses... and can sometimes find themselves feeling inferior and somewhat less-than because they don't have a 10million dollar a year business, a million dollar a year business... or perhaps even half a mill.... Others have that.. and have found that this is no longer what they want. Catch up on the replay of The Coffee Run LIVE (ep 629) where I talk about the dollar value that I think this kicks in at. I can't wait to share with you some of the GOLD that arose out of the HOTSEAT last week on the Gold Coast, as well. Two days in the room with badasses has reignited me in a way that I didn't expect... and I'm super excited, affirmed and beyond THRILLED to share more with you over the coming months. Have a great day and a great week.
