Last episode, we broke down the meaning of each line of the Declaration of Independence. Now, let's read about some of the signers from the pen of one of their peers. I'll share snippets from Able and Mighty Men: Biographies of the Men Who Signed the Declaration of Independence, an old 1838 book! It's quite different from any modern biography of the signers.

What does Queer Theory have to do with our founding fathers and the American Revolution? Nothing, as it turns out. But if you aren’t familiar with accurate history, you could be easily convinced that there was a secret war waging againsthomosexuals in colonial America.
That’s the goal of Pride month at the Museum of the American Revolution.

You can provide your high school students with a full, rich education in history and humanities at home. All you need is a good curriculum to guide you, and Steadfast Press is the place to start. It’s a comprehensive curriculum that covers everything a high schooler needs besides math and science, wrapped up entirely with a biblical worldview: history (both world and American), geography, composition, literature, government, philosophy, Bible, worldview, political theory, and apologetics. In fact, when a student completes all four years of Steadfast, they will receive 18 high school credits. All you need to add is science and math. And along the way, your students trace the thread of history from creation to 21st century postmodernism. Listen as Nicki interviews Jennifer and Carol, the creators of Steadfast.

Vouchers and Education Savings Accounts are not necessary for homeschooling. In fact, they're a bad idea. Nicki explores the reasons why, and shows you how affordable and possible homeschooling is (and has always been) without government funds.

Parents, I beg you to face this reality. This is not your grandma’s America. In fact, it’s not even your mama’s America. It’s not the good ole days anymore. We areliving in post-Christian society where even the majority of Christians cannot adequately define what they believe, or why.
No education is neutral; every course, every teacher, every book has a worldview. All education is discipleship.

Can anyone really homeschool? Nicki says yes, and explains in this episode. Homeschooling is not about creating a miniature school in your home; it's a completely different kind of upbringing. Think outside the classroom, think outside the "school year," and get to know how flexible education at home can truly be.
This episode is for single or working parents, those who feel unqualified to teach, parents of special needs children, low income families, and many other circumstances.
