Episode 93 (October 4, 2025): Pee-wee Patriotism, Pope Leo, and the Hope That Won’t Die
(Your (almost) daily update from The Sound of Niagara)
In this episode, I talk about the desperate duo of Kash Patel and Pete Hegseth—two men trying way too hard to look like tough guys. Hegseth struts around in his Pee-wee Herman suit, while Patel hands out skull-covered “Kash” trophies that look like they were designed by a 12-year-old boy hopped up on energy drinks. These are the people preaching strength while showing us nothing but insecurity.
Then I turn to Pope Leo, who’s standing up to the rising tide of MAGA hate and anti-immigrant rage with courage and compassion—something we could use a lot more of.
I also touch on the sellouts at the Riyadh Comedy Festival, where Western comics and entertainers are cashing in while looking the other way on repression. It’s a reminder that the global stage is full of people willing to trade their voices for a paycheck.
And yes, I talk about Trump again—because now he wants to put his own face on U.S. money. Like the Queen of England, only with less dignity and more self-delusion.
But through it all, I remind you: stay hopeful. Nobody wants to live in a Church Lady society, where the government tells you what to laugh at, what to read, and what to think. These control freaks have overplayed their hand.
It will end.
Stay strong.
