Outlines are a good method to arrange your thoughts. They give your ideas structure and direction, and they allow your mind to focus on one portion of your writing at a time. Outlines are an essential tool for every writer, and knowing how to make them fast is beneficial.

Nothing is as difficult to do than "starting". In any project and in project management, this stage is called the project initiation stage. Beginning your journey into being an author is no different - the very first hurdle is the "starting' stage. 

At its very core writing is a business and it should be treated as nothing less. It is hard work and naturally you desire to profit from your hard labour. But the fiction industry, according to my friends at The Gotham Writers Workshop, is a feast-or-famine industry, where the famine is much more common than feasting, where, even well-established authors are left to nibble on the scraps.

A lot of people have thought about it - writing a memoir. And yet, only a few get it done. There are so many reasons why we start the journey of scribbling, with all candour, in our secret journals what we see as future memoirs and biographies but halfway through we ditch the project. Some of us are halted by thoughts of, ”I am still too young for a memoir”; or, ”I haven‘t achieved enough yet”.
